Hang on, don't throw it away. You may have invented something here - the poor man's GB! And after you finish flying, you just put it in the back of the 4WD (after unhooking the wings I suppose).

Allan,I'm surprised the tail stayed so close by. The Gremlins were a chopped off Hornet. They were out of Kenosha, WI as I recall... not too far from your neighborhood. So you might well have had a bunch around... not that they didn't get around. Pacers too... Rhonda had a '76 Pacer... maroon with a white vynal top.
