I'm posting these again after they were deleted in the forum crash... :-)These are the first photos I took with my new camera, and I wanted to share them with you! Of course, the scanning/resizing process took out a lot of the quality. The first two are two Rv-6 coming in for landing...http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/18472.jpghttp://forums.avsim.com/user_files/18474.jpgI don't know what plane this is - but it's neat. It was practicing landings...http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/18475.jpgThe last two, are of a nice Pitts biplane. It performed a nice aerobatic show. I think he was practicing, too.http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/18476.jpghttp://forums.avsim.com/user_files/18477.jpgCristian

Nice photos! I like them all, even the off-topic ones in the other post :-) I'm surprised that you have tall mountains close to Rome? I thought one would have to go to northern Italy (Italian Alps) to view mountains of this magnitude. Amother off-topic piece of information -- yesterday and today are the two longest days on the northern hemisphere, in terms of sunlight. North of the arctic circle the sun doesn't set this time of year. Midnight means sunshine from due north. Moderately south of the arctic circle (Bergen, 60 degrees north) we've got twilight all through the night.Hans Petter

Hans, those mountains are not so tall after all. They are part of the "Appennini" mountains - the mountains chain going from North to South, right in the middle of Italy. I don't remember the actual height of the mountains in the photos, but I think they're around 1500 meters. One of the tallest mountains around here is Mount Terminillo (slightly more than 2200 meters). And it's about 80 Km (straight line) from Rome..."Midnight means sunshine from due north"... Now that's something I would really like to see!!! :-)Cristian
