My current plans:- make a taxi - nice to have something small and cute to work with for a change - I intend to make it in slightly less detail than Buckingham palace. You may say "why make a taxi when we already have a Mazda 323 in the library". And I have to point out that "sure, everyone would prefer to drive a Mazda 323, but not everyone is as fortunate as I", in an upper class English accent, and "roads full of Mazda 323's don't look realistic". Anyway, black taxis are as much icons as red buses for UK.- upgrade Gatwick. Supply train services, with the Luc/Glidernut improved non-rotating trains as standard. Gatwick needs upgrading as commercial flights in Dash 8's have stretched its resources to the limits. Do you want a few villages scattered around its surroundings as in Stansted? I'm not a Chris Low but I can sprinkle a few trees around. Do you want concrete aprons/taxiways or do you want framerate?- at last, creeping reluctantly onto the horizon, I see signs of Luton appearing through the mist. If no-one has staked their development sign on this plot, I would be ready to start on this in a few weeks. But being lazy, I would love to invite a co-developer to help me - you saw what a difference Hans Petter made to LCA.RobD.

Already been done Peter (hang on a minute, what's that? the dragon's not a bird? But if flies doesn't it? well ok). Ah, correction, great idea! Yes, we should have a few birds flying around - simple ones with chirping sounds for airport areas, a few flying geese maybe. Sounds great! You'll have to give me a clue on how to make birds out of cubes! Better, get Jon Point to make a few birds for us - he's brilliant at this sort of stuff. And he loves making living things - trees, moths, power towers - I'm sure he can make a sparrow or two. And he can probably make better WAV files for them than anyone outside the British museum. But let him finish his gliders and moths first, or glidernut will shoot me. Slowly.RobD.

>And he loves making living things - trees, moths, power towersLiving power towers? :-lolWell, for the SF scenery, sea gulls would be appropriate. We also have hawks, crows, pigeons, blue birds, black birds, and the occasional duck and Canadian Goose flocks. Canadian Geese would work nicely for both SF and Seatac regions. Is it possible to make a flock of geese as a single AI "aircraft"? Might be fun to follow them as they migrate:http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art10861.aspSome photos:http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art13649.aspPeter http://bfu.avsim.net/sigpics/PeterR.gifBFU Forums ModeratorRenegade/Seawolf Design Group (RSDG)

Peter,You want my flock of geese (or is that a gaggle?). I have two! Actually, one is ducks (grey), the other pelicans (big, white). They are FLED model which can be used as moving models!I suppose I could extend the aviary to some Canadian Geese. In reality, these are sooooo simple - one double-sided polygon (pointy bit at the front) and one mipfile. Now, this has got to be a good 'starter' project? What? I've already done it? Well, yeah, but what about some others get... what? Seagulls? And pidgeons for around Buck Palace? They don't fly in triangular-shaped flocks ;)Before you ask, I have tried modelling them separately but you cannot see them! What I find more interesting is that you were browsing "The Voice of Women" website :-lol:-waveJon Point*************************(effyouthree@hotmail.com)*************************

Hi Rob, Taxi sounds like a great idea. Any chances of a nice Morgan or such-like to park next a classic aeoplane ? Or even an old Land rover like the Brigadier's in Dr Who ;-)Cheers, QvdG

Check avsim library soon. Its not a Morgan - I'm not sure what a Morgan is. Its a Mongrel. I took pics of black taxis from several sources and combined them to make the whole taxture, so don't look too closely! But you will notice the number plates front and back don't match. As to Landrovers, I liked them too. But a jeep might be easier! No, you're right, a landrover would be easier because you could make the back out of a cube, and wouldn't have to worry about gear sticks, steering wheels and seats.RobD.

Hi FU3 Gang,AI birds in FU3, I think they might be two scary for most folks :-lolIf we had two of these flying around they should be called Geese instead of a Goose,http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/46086.jpgThese FU3 Birds are bigger than my Cub, It's pretty scary stuffhttp://forums.avsim.com/user_files/46089.jpgI guess I'm fearless because I'm trolling for Geese or a Goosehttp://forums.avsim.com/user_files/46091.jpgYikes That's one ugly goose flying aroundhttp://forums.avsim.com/user_files/46093.jpgAnd also very big, I don't need anymore birds then this :-lolhttp://forums.avsim.com/user_files/46094.jpgHave Fun :-newburnAllan and Puppyhttp://avsim.com/hangar/air/bfu/logo70.gif
