March 12, 200422 yr The copy of FU3 that I installed on my work PC only has the default airports.....and a quick scan check indicates why I had to upgrade them. Some users may not be bothered by incorrectly aligned taxiways and meandering AI planes, but it makes me shiver just looking at the following screenshots.1. Ranger Creek.......... :-eek2. Apex Airpark........... Some of these taxiways look like they were slapped down inside five minutes.3. Coupeville NOLF....... Where is the parking area ?4. Arlington Municipal... My Beechjet is sitting OUTSIDE the parking area. Why ? :-eek5. Arlington Municipal... "AI Arrow, you are not an all terrain vehicle. Please stay on the taxiway". :-)Chris Low. March 17, 200422 yr One thing I don't "get" about FU3 development - some of the airports and scenery textures are clearly rushed. Still, just months before FU3 was supposed to be finished, they decided to do the entire western US instead of just the area between SEA and SFO instead of making sure Seattle was working properly :-hmmm -
March 18, 200422 yr Author Jimmi,In my opinion, the outer terrain scenery was a waste of time. It doesn't look nice (due to the lack of satellite mapped terrain), and was therefore at odds with the entire point of FU3's existence. As for the rushed appearance of some of the airfields and taxiways in the high resolution scenery region itself, I suspect that you can blame EA for that. The developers may well have had to finish these airfields very quickly simply to get the product completed by whatever deadline EA had set.Chris Low.
