Mustang at Ranger Creek

Featured Replies

I decided to play with Mustangs at Ranger Creek. The Dago isn't really meant for bush flying but it was worth a try.Dago at Ranger:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/74253.jpgNotice the parked Twin Otter, the new windsock "platform" and a few more distant trees. They're all by courtesy of Jon Point. Then I landed. I thought the speed was right but I couldn't make the aircraft stop in time. I kept rolling, dodged a few trees and settled way south of the runway. Anyway, I could walk away from this one:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/74254.jpgThen I tried the standard Mustang:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/74255.jpgI flew north, turned southbound and came in as low and slow as I could:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/74256.jpgComing in for another superb landing? Check out the next post!Hans Petter

Well, I did manage to stay on the runway this time:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/74257.jpgStill, this landing does leave something to be desired and I've decided to keep practicing. Any seasoned Mustang pilots with screenshots of better landings at Ranger Creek?Hans Petter

Similar to many of my efforts I'm afraid :-lol The only time I could ever land the P51 at Ranger was without the package ;)Regards,**************Jonathan Point**************"I'd rather be down here wishing I was up there than up there wishing I was down here"
