I successfully observed the transit of Venus this morning by projecting the image of the Sun (using an 8x30 monocular) onto the back of a postcard. It worked perfectly. Venus was a perfect black dot.This is one of the astronomical events of a lifetime, and I am really happy that I managed to see it !:-jumpyChris Low.

I saw it only on tv. But they didn't shaw most interesting moment of it (IMO) - contact. I was expecting to see the atmosphere of the planet in this moment.B.Adamski
