No 'J' rails here ! Stick and rudder time, 6000ft over Florida (pics)

Sometimes the right way up,http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/94497.jpgSometimes nearly upside down,http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/94498.jpgand sometimes which way is up,http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/94495.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/94496.jpgMy 'instructor' (in the rear seat) was Jon, once we'd got airborne from KISM (r/w 06, winds 040 at 14-24kts)and passed 1500ft Jon said those magic words "You have control". Initially turned west to fly parallel to US hwy 192,level at 2000ft, but as there was a fair amount of turbulence,Jon suggested we head s/w to clear airspace and climb above the clouds to have some fun,where there was less bumpy conditions.Climb was carried out at 1750 rpm, 20" manifold px, airspeed 110mph, which gave a climb rate @ 1500ft/min (I wasn't really looking that closely) until through the clouds at 5,500ft. Spent most of the time threading the T6 through,up and around the cloud tops, bit like anFUIII 'Hoops' course, all at @ 140-160 mph. I misjudged one turn and put us right in a thick bit of cloud, to which the comment from Jon behind was "You don't wan't to go in there!", spying a hint of blue sky to our left,I got outta there pretty sharpish...Any way,I was having lotsa fun, and during one steep turn Jon said "D'you want to try a roll?" I said OK, and he replied "we'll just put the stick over a bit more and here we go"All too soon my 30 mins was up, and Jon said it was time to head back,he gave me a heading to steer, and an altitude to fly down to, and soon there right in front was KISM. With the r/w in sight it was down to 1,500ft then those words "I have control" from Jon for the landing etc.Enjoy the pics,:-wavePete

WAY cool Pete ! Looks like great fun..Good idea to have the front canopy cracked a bit like that.. :-)Who's got the camera button ? Got more shots ?Friends of mine here bought a T-6 a while back, so I hope to get some seat time as well..

Got a few more shots,but these were the most er,interesting imho. Jon (in back) had camera button, also controlled on-board video cams as well (located in front instrument panel,on the left side of fin, and r/h wing-tip), and managed to make sure I didn't foul up too much with a $275,000 1945 vintage plane. Top guy :-)Yep, if I had the money (and lived in USA) I'd buy one too. GA flying in EU is just wayyy too expensive.Grab a ride if you can Staggers, you'll love it!:-wavePetePs.
