agtim, I REQUEST IT.I apreasheeate your work very much, I seem to spend all of my flyingtime soring in the UK-South NW, I think your elevation there is fantastik. I see you berning the midnight oil to get mor of the elevation dun,but until now I not like to disterb your elevation work by asking if we can hav what youv dun so far.Until now, Iv been content to look in every other day to see if you hav upload any of it. Fantastic progress! The red area covers a part of the country I am particularly interested in - mainly because I have flown from Syerston many times. It's another airfield I would like to do some work on. Unfortunately (??) I am on holiday for a few weeks so can't make use of it until probably March. At your present rate of progress you will probably have finished the rest of Southern England by then! As soon as I return, I will want what I can get please.I have just about finished making Chivenor presentable, but have had to do some serious terrain levelling to make it usable - not a pretty sight! (In real life Chivenor is as flat as a pancake, but at the moment the area slopes so much that the yellow airport colouring doesn't work without some terrain levelling). I am sure the new terrain elevation will simplify things a lot.Keep up the good work - I still think FU3 is at least as good as any other sim and it's the one I use almost exclusively.Ches

I'm very keen to see this sort of improved terrain for the south of UK. Is this going to happen? The improvement in the area around Caernarfon etc is staggering - it is better than flying through the Cascades. But when you do this, the various airports will also have to be rebuilt to fit. How can this be done? I did an artificial fix of the terrain around LCA (by setting the Thames as flat, raising some points for docks, adding more variation etc) then had to undo it because my version became incompatible with everyone else's, and LCA airport ended up floating in air! But maybe terrain classification can solve this problem.Anyway, the results are wonderful and as a one man team, the amount you have already done is staggering. UKS is the only region I currently fly in at all. And I look forward to the new Switzerland some day soon!PS, sorry about Federer. But he has had an awesome run at the top!

Hi Robert,Thanks for your positive feedback :-)It's hard to match hills and valleys with the texture.Orthophotos and UTM looks like the same thing, but is not.The hard part is done now, the east part is very flat and easy to fit.As long you have place models on the flat airport area conversion will be simple or even there is no conversion needed. For models places at different places into the landscape - they will float or sink in the ground. We will see - I reach the area of Cardiff as next and there are such problems. The new FLEDViewer can help, using the move to function. With it you can rise all models over ground locate it and push them back to the ground. :-wave agtim
