the re-birth of fu3 resulting in a few questions

i'm a huge fan of fu3 and have played it on and off for years until one of my scenery disks was somehow scratched... disaster!when i heard sold out were re-releasing it i was simply over the moon.my new copy is now up and running on a new system and the results are spectacular. i've tried to get into fs9 many a time but would always give up after a couple of days. fu3 has that certain - je ne sais quoi - 'feel' about it, which the technically superior ms sims somehow lack. anyway, let's not get bogged down...i've got a couple of questions:fu3 is running perfectly (between 38 and 64 fps) on my new system with all the settings, filters, FSAA etc. maxed out but there is an annoying grey line just down from where the cockpit borders the view outside in the F2 and F3 views. can this be solved or is it something to do with the age of the game? i'm running an ati sapphire radeon 9800prosecondly, i seem to remember messing around with the fu3.cfg file a great deal - mainly to get the sky looking more realistic. does anyone have a 'final' version they are willing to put in the file library?thirdly, is there a way of getting hold of the uk scenery?and finally - a minor issue - is there a way of upgrading the default 'rain hitting the cockipt' sound while flying through clouds in the jet? the sound itself is fine: it is just the way it loops repetetively. after about a minute it starts to do your head in!great work to all those concerned - glad to see fu3 is still going strong!

George,Do you have broadband ? I used Gideon Pertzov's Cockpit Designer utility to get rid of those annoying lines in each of the default aircraft cockpits. thanks for all the help - everything is now up and running perfectly once again. in consideration of soldout's recent release, would it be a good idea to compile a list of these essential files (with links to the library) that headlines the forum?

That is currently "under construction", George. Take a look at the thread titled "Unpinned Trial of Guide to Newbies" a bit lower in this forum. After Rob Driscoll makes a few adjustments to it, it will be pinned at the top of the forum.
