Glidernut's New Glider

Recommended Posts

Like Andy, Ihaven't been around for a while and am not doing much with FU3 at the moment. But then glidernut sent me this amazing new craft. Its not completed yet (work in progress signs all over it), but once again it breaks the limits of what we could do before (well not 'we' - I couldn't build a plane although I once tried to get a blue police box to fly). What does this plane do that's different? Its got opening doors! Now that's neat, I thought we couldn't have doors in FU3, but glidernut has again proved me wrong, and with his permission as a sort of pre-publicity he's let me release some pics. So here goes.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/143842.jpgFlying with the doors open - nice breeze.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/143843.jpgBeautiful control panel - still being developed of course.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/143844.jpgBest ever F4 view, showing the opened doors.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/143845.jpgThere's no pilot in the cockpit because I had to step outside to take the picture.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/143846.jpgNothing to do with the new glider, but since glidernut is so clever to build this new plane, I thought I should show this photo. That's me in the Arrow, glidernut waiting on the left, Ansgar waiting on the right, but they have to wait because I'm still tuning my radio (trying to find a good rock channel with some nice music), get my chocolate bar and coffee stowed away, comb my hair ....Robert.

And just when we thought things were slowing to a crawl here :-) This glider looks great and I'm looking forward to adding it to my plnpile. While I'm on the soapbox - we should get better at showing our appreciation for all of the great addons. Chris has worked hard on the Sanfran and Seattle upgrades, Rob has created beautiful models and Agtim is busy creating the most interesting region we could ever get. Jon has given us a plethora of models. While freeware is free it's not cheap -- there's a lot of work involved in creating even the tiniest model. As models / objects go there will be quite a few more to choose among soon. Hopefully this will encourage more simmers to fire up their Fled and create some packages. Remember, even though the airports may be "taken" it's always possible to create additional buildings / objects packages.Hans Petter
