Analyzing FU3 files during startup

To locate CTDs or just to see what happens during the start and quick flight selection inside FU3 use FileMon from www.sysinternals.com you can see each file activity with location and read offset. So you can learn which files are opened in which sequence, how models are loaded. This can help in debugging FU3 bugs.
