Elstree near finished and as Video

Recommended Posts

After a total mainboard/processor crash a new machine was a must and not it's installed and ready, still winXP with ASUS/NVIDIA 8600GT video card and VISTA ready (later). Now the frame rate is nice at Elstree (reduced version).you can see it in the video (upper left corner, ASUS counter, not +F)There will be a video of a FU3 flight from/to runway 26 at Elstree.ASUS with OSD GameReplay make it possible and more will follow. If you don't have UK Region you still can take a look at YouTube.I choose this way to avoid overloading AVSIM with videos ;-)Here is the link, other will follow soon and the Elstree package alsoA first turn at Elstree Aerodrome

Totally awesome. Is the OSD GameReplay a utility that Asus provides with the video card? It was interesting to see you taxi near the Renegade you provided. That's quite the achievement, Agtim, and a lot of fun to watch. :-cool -Seadog

Andre! How's yer taxi speed there, buddy? The initial taxi-out was a wild ride :-eek I thought we'd scrape the wingtips a few times. Is that why you used a Cessna :-lolSeriously, that was very cool. I need a grabber like that too. All the ones I've tried kill the framerate or don't record sound. Or both :-( S'pose I could use a VCR though - it's not like we don't have 2 unused ones. And congrats on Elstree. Mighty fine work, there :-waveRegards,Jon Point

Hi Jon,The new ASUS card helps a lot doing this video.Elstree is not flat and the slope speed up taxiing :)I wanted to save megabytes of the files also :)next time with the full populated Elstree I well keep taxi speed low to let you see the models placed around :):-wave agtim

Oh! I thought you'd been watching Rob's ground-breaking efforts :-lolElstree would be hard to taxi fast in the Staggerwing but then I'd take a leaf from Rob's book and just takeoff from the taxiway...It was real nice to see an FU3 video on Youtube too. Maybe we should encourage others (with suitable video setups)? Tell ya what, I could spend the next month shootin' and postin' - but then I do have some customer-oriented things to do first - like turn one of these:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/175292.jpginto something like this:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/175293.jpgTook a deposit on this months ago and the guy finally found some money, so I better finish it ;-)Regards,Jon Point

Too bad YouTube is blocked in Thailand :( A few person have posted movie clips harassing and ridiculing the king and this caused a ban on everything YouTube. I'll look at the videos once I get back to Europe :-}Hans Petter

Very interesting to see such a large number of static objects, and to see such a large fluctuation in frame rates. I can't decide what might be causing that, as it is not obvious to me. I also enjoy the audio very much.Perhaps Jon will approve of your ground speed in this second enjoyable movie. :-lol Thanks for posting it.-Seadog
