Hi Doc,I have "two experiences" with the Ford Tri-Motors.Having spent 31 years in the Detroit area, I took a lot of "my visitors"to the Henry Ford Museum/Greenfield Village. The museum has a Tri-Motor hanging from the ceiling. As I remember, it was the "Admiral Bird to the North Pole" number. If you're ever in the area, don't miss the museum/village combo. And, I got inside a restored and flying Tri-Motor and sat in thePIC seat. Just couldn't come near to coughing up the cash for a "round the patch" flight.I'm cheap. {:^)

Dan,I was doing my student teaching in Las Vegas, NV towards my Masters when Grand Canyon Airways or some such outfit flew a Ford Tri Motor on their scenic flights around the Canyon and Hoover Dam. I used to see it every weekend just tottering along. I was a grad student, I had no money. And had I had it, I would have flown in it.Doc Bryant

Definitely very desirable airplane, would have loved to fly in it, would love even more to have its cash value in my pocket for Christmas! Not really the spirit of Christmas, is it? (or maybe it is, nowadays!)Doc's comments made me want to go for a spin - since I don't have a Ford, I used a P.A.A. Fokker (watch your language!)http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/181147.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/181148.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/181149.jpgLots of fun!Best regards.Luis
