Wowzer! Just trying out a new 512mb stick of Corsair XMS3000.She's up to 188FSB at Cas2!!! Thats 10x188. Not to shabby, I have to admit I didn't really expect to run much higher than 180 at Cas2 so I am pleased! Makes up for the disappointment from the XMS2700.Perhaps I have a Faux XP2300 KT400 on my hands at Cas2.5? Hmmmm :)http://www.frontiernet.net/~pleatzaw/images/188FSB.jpgLater,Paul

"Perhaps I have a Faux XP2300 KT400 on my hands at Cas2.5?"Actually thats probable. I had some sticks of both in the shop last week and they looked identical except for the branding. Here in Canada many shops share the same wholesale suppliers. NCIX prices are usually pretty close to mine. Of course they are consumer oriented and sell for a bit less than I desire to (:-)) and they also sell to the states. Anyway, check their US prices out tonight:CORSAIR CMX512A-3200 DDR 512MB PC3200 CAS2 32MX64 W/ HEAT SPREADERhttp://www.ncix.com/usa/productdetail.php?...00238b497c20b2bCORSAIR CMX512A-3000C2 DDR 512MB PC3000 CAS2 32MX64 W/ HEAT SPREADERhttp://www.ncix.com/usa/productdetail.php?...00238b497c20b2b--CORSAIR CMX512-3200 DDR 512MB PC3200 CAS2.5 32MBX8 W/ HEAT SPREADERhttp://www.ncix.com/usa/productdetail.php?...00238b497c20b2bCORSAIR CMX512-3000C2 DDR 512MB PC3000 CAS2 32MX8 W/ HEAT SPREADER http://www.ncix.com/usa/productdetail.php?...00238b497c20b2b--Interesting, no? The second two modules look identical once the heat spreader is removed (if I remember correctly). Edit: I haven't seen the first two yet.Take care,http://members.rogers.com/eelvish/elrondlogo.gifhttp://members.rogers.com/eelvish/flyurl.gif

Interesting results, Paul. As soon as I can get my hands on a good HSF, I'm going to see just how far I can take my XP 1700+ on a (new) MSI KT3 Ultra ARU mobo w/some (new) Samsung PC2700 Rev 3 DDR RAM that's (hopefully) capable of running 200MHz DDR FSB @ Cas 2 :-eek Getting my new parts tomorrow finally: Sparkle 400W AMD-approved PSU, 2x80mm case fans, MSI mobo, Samsung RAM, Lite-on 32x12x40 CD-RW drive, and some cheapo speakers to finally have a fully-functional gaming machine for the first time in over a year. Then in a couple weeks I'll get my new HSF & some thermal paste, 5.1 speakers, broadband net access, DVD drive, and I'll be happy for a few months until the upgrade bug bites me again and I have to buy more hardware ;) (probably in a few weeks when R300/NV30 come out, and when the KT400 mobos start showing up). regards,Max Cowgill
