November 26, 200223 yr Before I buy V3, I just want to ask a couple of quick questions.1. Do you still get crossing restrictions when descending, and if so, are they still 40 miles from the last waypoint on the route, or are they now actually at a waypoint?2. Will V3 choose the departure runway from the current weather conditions AND the length of the runway? I didn't particually like the way it guided you to a small standby runway when bigger ones were avaliable.3. If you choose to use a different departure runway than the one originally given to you, will the AI traffic still use the other runway, or will they then use the one you have selected?Only a few minor points, and I'll probably end up buying it anyway!!! FS ATC is beginning to bore me!" Bout time I got back into the RC way of doing things! Thanks for any helpPhil
November 26, 200223 yr Phil,1) There are still crossing restrictions you'll receive from ATC. Depending on where you last waypoint is, ATC will tell you to cross 40 miles from xxx, or ATC will tell you to start you decent now, and to be at a defined altitude in 30 miles or less. This is decribed in the manual (now available) in much more detail. It's highly recommended you read up on all parts of the manual before you fly.2) RCv3 now does take into account the size of the aircraft. So RCv3 will take into account the weather, and size of aircraft also.3) RCv3 cannot control AI traffic. AI Traffic is controlled by FS and will continue to use whatever runway is assigned to them even if you choose to use a different runway. It's compleatly out of RC's hands.Again, I urge you to read the manual if you haven't because there's a lot of info on there that's vital to flying with RC.Subshttp://www.jdtllc.com/images/RCbeta.jpg
