August 1, 200322 yr Couple of issues on my W98SE 512DDR 2.53 Gz box:1. The famous audio pauses are back occuring almost on a schedule, perhaps on AS updates. This is not the stuittering issue but 3 to 5 sec pauses on ATC commands or pilot responses. Background non-sim related stuff is off AFAIK.2. ATIS: I assume is a FS issue. At KMSP I have via AFCAD rwy 12R/30L assigned for landings only, and 4/22 assigned for take-offs only. RC ATIS and ground allow the use of 12/30 for both with no function for 4/22. (FS ATC AITS is worse staying with 4/22 and not recognizing 12/30 but AI correctly lands on 12/30.) The parallel shorter runway is not enabled because of FS limitations.Otherwise, works swell. I assume the new option to check "AI Interaction" is just that. I have the RC traffic generation slider down. RC correctly called FS AI target cautions correctly in all phases enroute, which is new to me, and I did not have any ground conflicts.Great job.As soon as the panels and gauges I use are FS2K4 compatible, I'll get it and try it. Also awaiting FS2K4 TTools and AFCAD.
August 1, 200322 yr Commercial Member 1) try it without activesky. use the fabulous :-) ms weather. is the stuttering still there?2) rc has no idea which runways are for landing and departingyes ai interaction is just that. enables the ground interaction and the approach interaction.jd JD Read my blog
August 1, 200322 yr Author >2) rc has no idea which runways are for landing and departing>>jdActually it did partially follow the AFCAD change as stated so it must recognize something. The wind favored a non-designated runway and RC did select the runway AI was using as diod RC ground control. Wind was from 250@16 but it stayed with 30, not the closer 22. I guess it does not distinguish takeoff from landing and just used the active landing. No problem, I'll just use the controller assignment. Still it is nice that the RC ATIS paid attention to the AFCAD settings (or seemed to) but FS ATIS did not.Unless this is all a coincidence . . .
