Question regarding spot view...

Recommended Posts

Guest Mark02

Hi,Whenever 'spot view' is selected or you select 'spot view' from 'view options' it always seems to be positioned about half way down the aircraft and half way up. Is there a way of raising this to higher view above the aircraft?E.g. So if you enter 'view options', the default red line would appear higher up.Any info, ThanksMark

It always points at the center of the aircraft. You can change the height relative to the aircraft, but it will then angle up or down to remain looking straight at the aircraft. It sounds like what you're asking is, would it be possible to change the point it is looking at, relative to the aircraft? I'm not sure how it determines where the center is (bounding box?) but I'm not aware of a way to change this.

Get the spot view the way you like it, Save a Flight, and make it your Default Flight.Hope this helps,-- Tom GibsonCalifornia Classic Propliners: http://members.aol.com/tgfltsim/index.htmlAlcoHauler Locomotive Page: http://members.aol.com/alcohauler/home/alcohaul.htmlFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ San Diego Model RR Museum: http://www.sdmodelrailroadm.com/Drop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___

Hi,I am trying to adjust the spot view so that it lies just above the wing, but whenever I rotate the view around the aircraft and zoom in it always centres around the centre of the aircraft, which happens to be either in or below the wing level. This means that if I adjust my angle and zoom, I am not looking down the wing (i.e. from the window) but either in the wing or below it.Is there something in one of the CFG files which defines where it "central" point or height is for a specific aircraft?Any more info, thanksMark
