737 Taxi power...

Recommended Posts

Guest Mark02

Hi,I remember reading a while a go on here, a way of adjusting one of the aircraft files so that the amount of power require to get a 737 moving was less. At the moment, 40-50% is required. Is there any way to lower this, or can someone rmember the name of the file.Any info, ThanksMark

The problem you describe is due to incorrect ground friction in FS, and affects all aircraft. If you change the idle power output you will also affect the descent performance, which is usually carried with idle power.Assuming your aircraft exhibits the correct descent performance, I suggest you taxi with more power than changing an air file which is correct, in order to compensate for an error in the scenery.Stamatis

Hi Stamatis,Do you still know whereabouts this file would be located? I'll try it and then see how it affects my descent. If it affects it a lot, I will revert back to the old file.Mark

No Mark, unfortunately I do not remember the file name or its whereabouts. But like you, I remember somebody had worked on it the way you describe.Stamatis
