rcv3.1 Bug Report (Directory Name = Memory Exception)

Recommended Posts

JD,I think I found a bug this morning with regard to the v3.1 (confirmed 2205 version) executable and the name of the RC installation directory. I haven't used RCv3 since FS9 came out so I thought I would reinstall/re-register everything this morning.RCv3 Installation to E:Radar Contact v3...rcv3.exe & rcv3b.exe both execute fine.RCv31 and all other 3.1 zips successfully extracted to same dir.rcv31.exe caused a memory exception, everytime (see attached jpg) whether executed from desktop shortcut or directly out of install-dir.manually renamed E:Radar Contact v3 to E:rcv3 and then rcv31.exe executes flawlessly.AL

Al,As a general piece of guidance (not just to you but to all RC users) try to avoid using spaces in folder names. Windows is really bad at coping with them.Instead of E:Radar Contact v3 try E:RadarContact3. It makes life so much easier. ;)Cheers,
