Hi,Just one quick question - do the patches for FS2004 have do all be applied sequentially, or does the latest patch have all the earlier fixes already applied?Cheers,Mike Turano

JD, Did you change the distance that RC brings you in on final approach? Before this build most of the time I was given my final heading call to capture the localizer so far out that in some cases my radio wasn't picking it up at the time. Now it seems from my last few flights with this new build that I'm being vectored in so close that I'm capturing the localizer so close that I'm well above the glideslope instead of being below the glideslope with the previous build? In fact if I stay at the alttitude that I'm given I would always be above the glideslope and not capture it at all. Is there a happy medium here, some setting that I need to change? Thanks,William

the rcv31.exe build contains all fixes. i would still extract all the files in the zip, and overwrite existing files as necessaryjd

See what you have in the arrival MSA box in the Controller window to see if it has changed from your previous selection. Mine is set at 3000 (feet AGL). Notice that the upgrade zips contain various .ini and other files which I do not apply, being possibly outdated from mine such as the airport and navaid data which I have updated or customized to insert missing items. If you did use these data files, other than the .exe, then welcome to JD's world. Also be sure to check in the Options box that the correct type of aircraft is checked - jet, heavy, etc. - since _perhaps_ RC uses that to calculate start of approach and descent patterns.

Hmmm, now I am puzzled. I just flew another flight and coming into the airport SCEL which has an elevation of 1555 I was held at 10000 feet until 17 miles from the runway at which point I was told to desend to 5000 feet until I capture the ILS. Well this close in with a heavy doing 210 knots I never got under the glideslope and therefore fly right over the runway without ever getting low enough to land without doing some acrobatics. I did a missed approach climbed to 10,000 and on the second attempt at 17 miles out I was turned toward the runway and told to desend to 9000 feet until I capture the ILS....well I knew this was impossible so this time I did a NOSEDIVE and was able to come up under the glideslope at a mere 4 miles out. Before this last build I was always brought in under the glideslope regardless of the airport. The MSA setting for this airport was 9200 but that changes with the airport and isn't a set value I don't think. I was flying a heavy and the box was checked. I've never looked at any of the INI files. Should I have? The Navdata I'm using is 0312 so it's current.Maybe I should go back to the previous build if I can. Thanks,William
