Fokker F100 - just luverly in FS2002

Recommended Posts

Dear Fokker fans,With all this whining political claptrap we have to wade through in poor Tom's battered forum these days it's sometimes hard to find any news about aeroplanes. I, for one, had missed some important updates to one of my favourite FS2000 birds, the Fokker F100. Those of you who have visited the F100 site linked below will know just what a work of art it is, and the way they have it packaged now certainly gives some of the payware boys a run for their money! OK, no virtual cockpit (personally, I'm quite happy with that "open" view occasionally) but everything else is there for you. You'll find:1. A very neat Air France F100 fully updated for FS2002. 2. Version 5 of Ton van de Laar's wonderful panel, fully FS2002 compatible.3. Interior views to go with it.4. An AWESOME F100 sound set.5. F100 Checklist6. F100 Operating Manual7. For those of you lucky enough to have some Euroflight (FS2000) F100s in your library, a new FDE and AIRCRAFT.CFG to make them fully FS2002 compatible.8. Loads of other stuff about the Fokker F100.The site is at:http://www.avsim.com/fokker/f100.htmHave fun. If this is old news to you diehards, forgive me for boring you, but I had certainly missed these welcome updates.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitak.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitakv3.jpg

Totally agree Mark. I had a little trouble with the panel at first but after implementing some of the suggestions on their site I now am enjoying this package immensely. The panel has got to be one of the best I've seen anywhere. I love it so much I am going to use it for my 733. Not totally accurate, but close enough :-) As you said, the sounds are terrifc, and give you a real sense of immersion. I am using the Euroflight birds, and one of my favorites is the American livery. THANK YOU F100 PROJECT!!!!!ToddKCOE

<<>>Todd - out of interest, what problems have you come up against? I'd rather find out now than when approaching under IFR in a thunderstorm after a two hour flight!Captain Scott - the American F100 was an FS2000 Euroflight 'plane.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitak.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitakv3.jpg

Apparently my card (TNT2) had a conflict with one of the gauges. When FS2002 started loading the panel it crashed. So I removed the offending gauge as suggested by Ton, and now it works perfectly. I think the gauge was for EGT or something, I don't miss it at all. So don't worry about losing your ILS lock in zero conditions or anything. I made an approach to KORD with a 100' ceiling and made it down fine. What a fine piece of work.Todd
