Apparently it's now available. As a pilot with DC-Airways, I general check the forum there first thing in the morning before coming over to my second home, AVSIM.There was a topic there this morning giving a report of how it flew amongst other info.Take a look yourself at:[http://www.dc3airways.com/entry.html]Now, I'll just be happy as heck when I can actually afford a few spare bucks to get it myself. This gal be po folk.Cheers!HeatherDC3-636

Heather, hi,I don't see the new version advertised on that site yet.Jan Visser has made a GMax version of the MAAM R4D, that's the one we were talking about here. All I see on dc3airways is the last FS2002 version of the old FS2000 model(s).I could be looking in all the wrong places of course ... ;-) (wouldn't be the first time either :-lol ) :-outta Francois :-wave

"At home in the wild"[link:avsim.com/alaska/alaska_051.htm|Don's Alaskan Bush Charters]"Beavers Lead the Way"[link:www.avsim.com/vfr_center/mainpages/vfr_flights_main_page.htm]VFR Flight Center]"Looking Good Outside"

http://avsim.com/hangar/air/bfu/logo70.gifhttp://www.fssupport.com/images/moose2.gif

________________________Francois A. Sorry about any misunderstanding. What I was referring to was a DCAirways forum post by David Hilliard. He had actually attended a WWII Air Show in Reading, PA where he met Bill Rambow and Roy Chaffin and subsequently, bought the new version (R4D version 4.8), I assume, directly from them. His email addy is available at that forum if anyone wishes to contact him as far as what he learned about availability. He gave an account of it though and I therefore assumes that it is finished and now available.Of course, we all know about that saying about "assuming." Therefore, my apologies in advance if I got anyone excited prematurely.Regards,Heather

That could well be correct then. They were supposed to sell the first CD's at that airshow! But nothing yet announced on the site or downloadable... We're all waiting for it (well, almost all... ;-) )for more pictures, check out my website (see my sig, VFR Center), click on Photos and then all the way down in Specials. :-outta Francois :-wave

"At home in the wild"[link:avsim.com/alaska/alaska_051.htm|Don's Alaskan Bush Charters]"Beavers Lead the Way"[link:www.avsim.com/vfr_center/mainpages/vfr_flights_main_page.htm]VFR Flight Center]"Looking Good Outside"

http://avsim.com/hangar/air/bfu/logo70.gifhttp://www.fssupport.com/images/moose2.gif

________________________Francois A. Tom,Meet me at the Lodge.......I will pick up your bar tab. Grin!I have to be in Nashville during the time of the AVSIM convention, our RNPA(Retired Northwest Pilots Association) is holding our annual meeting at the same time. I have been asked to fly my Curtiss bipe up to give air rides.......to other "old goats" as has been suggested in this thread!!The graphic in this file is of the new AVSIM base....a STUPENDOUS scenery add-on and well worth the time and effort to install on 6 computers. I am sittin in my trusty R4D awaiting that new Jan Visser version!I will watch for news of the AVSIM convention via the laptop!Regards,

Francois,The Map program is AIRPLAN from RazorsEdge software...http://www.razorsedgesoft.comYou can purchase the entire USA and ALASKA in Sectional VFR charts for under a hundred bucks and it really makes DC-3 slow and low flying a lot of fun!Regards,
