Another ADVDisplay problem

Recommended Posts

Since upgrading to 4.01, I'm having a problem with the text display on the ADVDisplay. Several times during a flight, after replying to ATC, the display doesn't return to the main screen. I continue to see the text display of the last ATC transmission. Since I'm not seeing the main screen, I cant see the headings, distances or any other commands for RC4. The only way to get back to the main screen is to ask for a weather update. When the weather finishes, I'm returned to the main screen. How can I get RC4 to return me to the main screen after replying ROGER. BTW, I didn't have this problem before the upgrade. ThanksMike

I haven't changed anything else. Only the upgrade to version 4.01. As far as the version of ADVDisplay, good question. How do I determine its version???

I finally found it. I have AdvDisp Version 2.1.4.0 Can this be the culprit in my not being able to see the main screen usually after I get a message from ATC like, "Southwest 4708, Roger"? The main screen fails to reappear after a message like that which requires no response or action. If I'm told to change heading, altitude, or whatever, I don't have the problem. Only when I don't have to do anything.

I had the same problem until I had multiline checked in AD. Right click on the docked AD window and make sure it is checked. You need to do this in each aircraft the first time you use AD in it.

Ronzie-I'll try checking multiline and see if that works. Since it worked for you I'll assume that was the problem - although I don't have the foggiest idea what multiline is for. I've seen the line there but have absolutely no idea what it does. Thanks.Mike
