First RC4 flight

Recommended Posts

Guest 102301636

Ok, so, I finally made my first RC4 flight last night almost 3 months after buying it!Some things I noticed that could be tweaked maybe with a future release; When an AI aircraft asks for clearance to start engines they ask almost immediately for taxi clearance (about 3 seconds later)...this is not realistic, it would be more common for the crew to request taxi clearance only after engines are started and the after start checklist is complete. So maybe the taxi clearance request can be delayed for about 30 seconds-1 min? Also I noticed that when contacting the tower on approach that they merely acknowledged my contact by saying my callsign/flight number...I believe it is standard practice that if Tower ATC is not granting landing clearance on initial contact that they ask the aircraft to 'continue the approach'Other than that, a fine product, very impressive and obviously took a pile of man hours to compile.

ya they would normally tell the aircraft to continue the approach, possibly give the reason why they are not receiving landing clearane (eg ', continue the approach One to roll'..They may then append someting like 'Expect landing clearance on short (or short-short) finals'.AlanP.S. I'm commenting on Irish standards, but they are meant to adhere to european standards for the most part (some don't!!!, they have their own phraseology and tend to spark up conversation with some pilots, much to my amusement)
