Altimeter settings

Recommended Posts

HiIn some aircraft when I download weather I get the following warning:" Your altimeter is set incorrectly. To set the altimeter, press B"I do that but it goes back automatically to the default value 1013MB. Why is so? Any settings that control that? Has Radar Contact have something to do with this?ThanksStelios

Hi Stelios,Radar Contact has no control over the altimeter setting. It reads the setting but no more.It sounds as though you have two conflicting processes. Try a default aircraft and see if it resolves the problem.Cheers,

Hi Stelios,Where is this happening? If you are flying above 18000 feet pressing B will set the altimeter to the standard value whatever the actual pressure is. However I get the impression that this is happening when you are starting your flight so that wouldn't apply.Personally I'd turn off the Flying tips (you can do that on the Settings - Realism section in Fs) - that will get rid of the Message! One thought, are you using the RC co-pilot at all when this is happening? All the best,John
