slew spinning

To slew I hit Y and the plane begins spinning to the right. Num Lock is off, but the slew keys seem not to work. Must have some setting wrong. It didn't always do this????

Are you paused? You can't use the slew keys while paused. I don't know what else it could be...:-hmmm

Hit the space bar and the plane will stop spinning andwill be oriented at 360 degrees north. I have no IDEAwhy MS made this thing spin in slew mode.Eric

If I hold down the space bar the spinning stops, but if I release it the spinning starts again!????

Thanks for all the suggestions, but nothing is solving the problem. The slew keys are not working even though it is not paused and the Num Lock key is off. That may be a clue, but the mystery remains.

Its your rudder. It not quite centered for whatever reason.BobG

Increase the null band for the rudder. If you kill you joystick using ctl K, that is what my is set to, you will notice the spinning will stop. Reactivate it and the spinning will start again.Regards,Bob http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3d0cf472751e5a9a.gif
