The dreaded 'HF' word

Recommended Posts

JD,I have just crossed the BIG pond between Australia and the USA. The oceanic areas in the RW are controlled by voice communications via HF, as there is no where to place ground based VHF. Is there a plan to for the next or later version of RC to incorporate this feature? Reading through the various forums, it would appear that more and more flight simmers are flying long range overwater legs. NeilYPAD

'HF' is real, why would you wish the program to be different?

OK. I think I understand the problem. It would be similar (but less complex?) than mapping real world radar coverage (RC 10 maybe?). But then ADS-B is rapidly filling the radar coverage black holes.NeilYPAD

ADS-B is big in Australia, but we here in the US are just getting used to it in Alaska. I don't see its wide spread use in the lower 48 tho. We have pretty good radar coverage. Scott
