Before I purchase RC - an important question

I am very very enthusiastic about RC and what it offers. However, I have one worry: what happens to all the callsigns that I added with EditVoicepack? I have so many airlines in my AI traffic which FS9 does not recognise, so how does RC deal with it? Can it read my enlarged set of callsigns? Or is there a tool similar to EditVoicepack which I can use to add callsigns to RC?If the answer to either is "yes" - which I truly hope! - I'll buy it right away. Otherwise, I'll stick with default ATC as I couldn't stand having planes with no names.Thanks.Chris

I have now read some of the reviews and some more forum entries regarding the "EVP problem" (=some AI callsigns and airport names not part of RC), and I am really struggling with myself now. On the one hand, the product seems to be a bomb (by the way: I saw mentioning of a demo video somewhere - where can I find that?), just what I am looking for. On the other hand, I know for a fact that a big chunk of my AI would end up as planes with no names - something I would like to avoid at all cost.I think the only thing which would still make me buy it is to see a list of callsigns that are included, and on that basis see how big the gap is.It really is a pity that RC does not allow users to create callsigns in the way EVP does. That seems to be the biggest drawback of this otherwise exquisit add-on.RegardsChris

That is one of the reasons why I am so much tempted by RC! I am just worried that too many of my airlines won't be properly called. That's all.However, having skimmed over the list of callsigns, I would guess that the bulk of traffic is covered. There may be many airlines not present, but these airlines don't represent a lot of traffic. On the other hand, it's the "obscure" and exotic callsigns that make flying in AI interesting.Thanks for your info in any case. I have to say that even before buying the product I appreciate the customer service I am getting on this forum. Bravo!

I have a question - these airline files, they are .wav files, right? Would it be possible to 're-record' some obscure airline call sign over one listed, and select that on RC? I would use "Yankee" airlines for example, and record my "Engineering" airline call sign over that file, and keep it named as "Yankee", whatever that might be. Would that work? Thanks!

Since an audio playback is comprised of mixed concatenated .wav files, the phrase would start with one original voice of the selected set, switch to your voice (in each wav set it would have to be) for the callsign, and then back to the voice of the person originally recording the waveset to complete the communication. Comm voices are also conditioned to sound like radio reception.
