Altitude Clearance Problem and collision with terrain- RC

Recommended Posts

Guest whoispankaj

Hi,I built a FP using FSBuild from VAPO to VABB.I was flying Cessna 172SPDistance between VABB and VAPO is approx 66nm.I had set the Cruise Alt of 8000 ft.The MSA for this route was approx 4500 ft.But RC never ever cleared me to 8000 ft and asked me to maintain 3000 ft.After some time it asked me to come down to 2400 ft.But this has always resulted in collision with the terrain(night flying).I always requested for higher altitudes but it always said that it had my request and never cleared me.Doesn't RC recognize the terrain and clear appropriately? Finally using map I reached VABB.But it asked me to maintain 2500 ft at approx 40 nm from the airport and gave a heading of 240 for runway 27 whose heading is 271..Flying that heading lead me away from the ILS Ry 27 and finally had to steer back using the Map to Runway 27...I am using RC 4.2 FSUPIC 3.7(unregistered)

i'd have to see the .pln file66 miles is a terminal enroute, not a normal enroute type planwithout knowing anything more about the .pln, you might want to enable departure and/or arrival notamsjd

add a checkpoint near VABB, and try again. you should always have at least one checkpoint near the arrival airport, in every plan.jd
