Radar Contact and Turbo Tax??...What gives?

Featured Replies

Hi guys,I've got the strangest problem. I just downloaded 4.3 and was going to fire it up for the firdt time. When I clicked the shortcut, it launch a "Turbo Tax-Is it Deductable" program. So I thought I might have screwed up the shortcut, so I launched RC from the .exe file....same thing. Ideas anyone?Also...I "reduce/drop down" FSX by using "alt-tab" so I can start RC. But when I try to bring FSX back up, it just hangs. Does anyone have a cause for this? Thanks,Mike

there is something wrong. you launched rcv4.exe from the rcv4 directory, and turbo tax runs?i don't have a clue what's going onjd

In the rcv4 folder, right click on rcv4.exe and select properties. See if it is the correct version, application name, etc. This is odd. It seems the Windows file pointers got corrupted.Did you do a recent install of Turbo Tax?

I'd take it as a sign to write off RC4 on my taxes...

ok...Uninstalled the Turbo Tax program, so i eliminated that problem. Now it says the "rcv3.dat" file was not found...RC cannot continue.Feeling pretty stupid right now. I ran Makerwy. It found everything but that didn't seem to help.

OK...Got it done!!! Works beautifully!! #### these upgrades!! JD...Radar Contact is the best. FSX-RC-FS Meteo.....Nirvana!!!Thanks for a great product!Mike

It might also be a good idea to run chkdsk /f at a cmd prompt. That may fix any issues with data pointers and alike.Subs
