Driver Backup

Recommended Posts

Guest Coneman

I would like to update the driver for a TNT2 32mg card but want to backup the original. Where exactly is it? I know this is kind of a bonehead question but I'm just not a PC tech wiz. Oh, I've got Windows ME.Thanks,ToddKCOE

Its already installed, if you didn't save the installer (.exe) file then I don't think that there is much which can be done.In WIN XP theres a system rollback feature, but as you have said your using ME.Anyone else with any ideas?

Maybe I should rephrase this. Is it possible to just copy the driver from it's location (wherever that is) and paste in another folder for a backup, or do I have to reinstall the original from a CD (which I think I have somewhere) if the update goes wrong? I just don't want to be stuck without my old driver. Thanks,Todd

Windows ME (which I LOVE!!!!!!)has a System Restor feature. Just do a System Restore BEFORE you install the new drivers and take a note of the time/date of this restore point. You can revert back to this point if you dont like the new drivers.Barry
