Is RC guiding on the ground? I hit another aircraft in San Francisco today. I have AI Smooth and it work most of the time but not on the ground. After I land, there is no more control with RC it ask to close or report.THanksAl

rc does not do anything with ground traffic, other than to freeze them on final approach, and when you are cleared for takeoff.this will change in the next versionjd

i think if you search the forum, you will find many posts on v5, by me.it's still at the stage where some features that i have talked about, won't make it into v5. other features that haven't been discussed, will be in v5.i'd prefer to wait until i'm closer to the time when v5 is feature complete, to delve into the many features.jd

I also have a question regarding a similar thing, does RC4 not see ground traffic? I keep pushing back into fsx's moving trucks etc...who seem oblivious to me pushing back!

No unless the ground object is configured as a special type of aircraft which some developers do.RC4 does not recognize ground aircraft traffic. When you are on final (tower) it will freeze adjacent aircraft traffic from encroaching on the runway.RC uses FSUIPC. With a download from the link pinned above, included will be a utility called traffic look. If you wish you can run this and see if FSUIPC recognizes your scenery vehicles as AI ground traffic. Traffic Look has an option to only show ground AI in its display tables. If your vehicles are recognized by FSUIPC then RC V5 should offer some relief by freezing those on a collision course - maybe. This tentative feature right now only looks ahead and to the sides when a user aircraft is taxiing.Just load up a flight staying parked at a convenient place and run it.When pushing back in FS9 I just cycle the 2D view with W and use the hat switch to look left-rear, right-rear, and straight-rear. You are just assuming the roll of the tug-driver and/or wing walkers.
