I never knew Jim, and don't recall ever communicating with him directly. Nevertheless, his contributions here helped me greatly.

A donation in his honour has been made from across the pond  to DAV.

He was a great administrator and I'm sure he was an even better man.  May he rest in peace.

RIP Jim, you were always a helpful man. We were good friend since 2009. I was so shock to hear the late news when I log in to AVSIM after I decided to go back to FS community since the new simulator just released.

My sincere condolences to your family.

Sad to see another fellow man go his way but we will all face the day when we can turn these tarnished wings in of mortal ship and Don a pair of wings that won't tarnish. Knowing he's in my aircraft and with all of the years of information and the way he conducted himself. A great loss to the simworld and to those so very close to him. Happy Trails my friend.Semper Fidelis

Foot stone?   Headstone maybe.  Bet it's in the cemetery where he is buried!  🤔

Per the national registry, Mr. Young's memorial can be found at the Quantico National Cemetery (Triangle, VA) in Section 9A, Site 124.
