I just purchased this airplane, and I have never had VAS issues with any of Carenado's airplanes until now.  Flew less than 10 minutes and the VAS warning was sounding.  I did have the GTN 750 installed but I have that in a lot of the Carenado airplanes and have absolutely no VAS issues. Landed just in time before FSX:SE crashed.  If this is the case I probably won't be doing much if any flying in this rig.

It uses 4K textures.  You may want to open a ticket and, perhaps, they'll make a 'lite' set.

A "lite" set is available with this release.

P3D V4.x will solve your VAS issues :)

    Cheers, Rob.

I'm sure it will, but will put a $1500 dent in the budget to upgrade to a new computer.

I did see the lite version, however, I don't believe you can use the GTN 750 in the lite version.  I'll have to check it out.

    Hi...

In their past models - the lite versions do work with the GTN...

    Regards,

    Scott

Great, I'll be adding mine tomorrow.  Thanks for the heads up.

You just have to browse into the 'lite' aircraft folder and activate the GTN model in there.

Interesting.  Not willing to buy at this time, I'll wait for reviews and fixes, then decide.

Rob's system will dent your upgrade more than $1500... :)

For me, new CPU/board/RAM, ca. €1000, new M2 SSD, €400, new power supply, €100, P3D V4 $199, upgrades of software and repurchases... ?

    Ouch...

I guess it depends how old your computer is, any computer within the last 5 years or so and has a GPU that is DX11 capable and has 2GB VRAM will run P3D V4.x considerably faster than FSX:SE when using similar graphics settings and same hardware and OOM free.  For most potential upgrade users, the issue boils down "is their favorite add-on available for P3D V4.x".

You certainly don't NEED my system specs to enjoy P3D V4.  I wouldn't recommend my system specs to anyone, absolutely no need for a Titan XP when a 1080Ti will work as fast if not faster, and the 7900X is overkill when you can get a 8700K for <50% the cost and it'll run as fast if not faster and easier to hit 5Ghz will less heat.

Anyway, back on topic, is the weather radar working correctly for those P3D V4.x users with this aircraft, all I see are pink patterns and no weather scans?

    Cheers, Rob.

Imported the GTN 750 into the "Lite" version.  Does much better on the VAS issue.  However, probably wouldn't purchase it again.  It's ok but nothing to really write home about.

Yeah, and also beware of the fake P3Dv4 support.  I recently got an "upgrade" to my Beechcraft Bonanza F33A, claiming support for P3Dv4! What I got was a new installer, and non functioning fuel flow gauge incorrect graphics among other badies (as opposed to goodies)

So this offering appears to be in or near the no longer available TDv2 performance class. With the issues pointed out it appears the TDv2 is still "King"!

    is that off course?

Anyone tried it with the RXP GTN? If so is there less system load?

Would have bought it, warts and all, if it were a 400LS. I don't understand why they built the III w/out fixing the previous Cheyenne that's still broken. I may have bought my last Carenado plane.

    My review

That was a good review.  I wonder if the right engine issue is related to their ignition switch fix that's a problem on their Cheyenne II.

Anybody else experiencing the issues David saw?
