Had an install issue. Found a helpful video. I'll save you the 10 minutes. Make sure to update at least the following. Windows, whos current version is 2004 & via the Microsoft Store app, the Xbox Bar. I suspect that it would be helpful to ensure graphics drivers are up to date as well.

    Bought through Steam.

Uneventful 2hr long install, this morning from 6 till 8 UTC, Standard version.

Looking fwd to try this release version !

From what I already know, and can't surely be worst, it's an extremely promising platform, and I do look forward to take the most out of it in the next years.

I totally enjoy it. And what I also enjoyed was getting rid of all the addons with their predatory anti piracy measures for P3D. No more antivirus exceptions. If it is not sold in the ingame store I will not buy it anymore. No more hassle with shops going offline or paying for key recoveries... The platform as a whole is what I really enjoy so far.

You may get better attention to your problem if you post in the forum.

Is this the forum for the new sim?  I have a number of pre-sale questions that would probably answered if there was any sort of manual.  I will ask them here just in case this is the forum:

    1.  Does it support my 3 screen system the way I am doing now with almost a 180 degree view?

    2.  Where does the scenery the say will be downloaded to me on the fly come from.  Is it the same Bing photos used by Ortho4xp or is it somehow in real time.  .  I would ideally like to take off from an airport and have current scenery downloaded every time I fly a given route.  I think my network is fast enough to do this every time a fly a given route.  Can't find anyone to answer my question.  This is not unlike shopping for a car and wanting to know mileage/horsepower before making a decision to buy.

    3.  How can I get a manual, preferably PDF, so I can plan installation?

I get the impression that all information like this is protected by the US National Secrets Act.  I know MS had a strict NDA policy but now that the product is being sold there should be no more secrets, especially and features and functions.

    4.  Where is the support forum(s) for this Product.

    5.  If I buy will I be downloading the product and executing it from my own computer.

    6.  Amazon is offering this product and I have saved my B'Day gift card just for this purpose.  Any disadvantage getting it there?

Documentation would be a great help.

Also stuck at the black "Press Any Key to Continue' screen with the circle of death in the lower right corner.
Found if I installed Xbox Identity Provider, Xbox (beta), Xbox Game Bar, I was able to get past the 'Press Any Key' loop,
and installation has begun. Suspect it was the 'Xbox Identity Provider' login that was missing, but who knows.

They say "Test your piloting skills against the challenges", oh it's a very true statement. And the challenges are related MSFS as to not being able to adjust properly flight controls settings (like in P3D or XP11), very unstable aircraft characteristics as you can notice in all almost videos available.

All I can say IMHO nice eye candy software but too bad that you can't really fly it properly because of flight controls issue and unrealistic unstable airplanes even in clear weather conditions with no winds.

Funny thing, I was complaining about P3D but I came to the conclusion that I was wrong compared to this very early and unfinished release. Very disappointing, especially after all this showcase.

For people interested in purchasing this software besides the multiple problems reported by many users I would like to share with you the following.

I start the process of requesting a refund and searched on their web.

They made it very difficult to get to that place, I tried initially to chat with someone and had no success.

After about 45 minutes I was able to get in touch with a person outsourcing from India, he spoke very well English and very helpful. He offered to help but only after 30 minutes or so he was unable to do much and asked me to log on xbox.com/refund. That address didn't work on Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Google Chrome or I.E where he said the billing department directed him to tell me to go on.

Finally (after another 40 minutes or so) I was connected to Billing department, another outsource situation where a Chinese lady is trying the best but she's almost impossible to understand.

Another 45 minutes trying to get on xbox.com/refund without any success she puts me on hold and shortly after "click" and I'm disconnected.

So, if you want a buggy software and this kind of customer support go right ahead and get more aggravated.

I have had MSFS installed for over 20 years beginning with an Atari 800 and I have never had a problem with input until now.  I am hoping someone can provide guidance.

In the very old days I used the keyboard, but not a mouse.  Now I have a Saitek Aviator 01 and a Logitech extreme 3D Pro joystick.  The Saitek is recognized but not configured and the Logitech is fully supported.  I used the Logitech after installation and everything worked fine except the throttle.  Sometimes idled at 50% power setting, reverse axis did nothing, never knew what to expect of basic Cessna 152.  Ditto with Saitek.  Removed throttle from joystick configuration and used the keyboard (F1-F4) with sluggish and unpredictable results..  went back to straight defaults and the Logitech worked for about 30 minutes and then ALL joystick input vanished.

Are other people having problem with their controllers?  Do you have Dead Zone and sensitivity settings that work?

incidentally, I seem to need rudder trim in straight and level flight or I drift left.  I never noticed that before.  Is it normal for single prop airplanes outside of takeoff?

    Love the scenery, but......

    All advice is appreciated.

That's normal real world operation.  Props drift left and course correction is needed in the real world.  Ok over to the forums I go. This is such a great sim normal operations need not be looked at as bugs.

After the glorious release I spent at least 2 or 3 hours every other day to find a compromise where I can say that I is acceptable.

Even after the patch the airplanes are still very unstable in pitch, roll and yow stability, micro-stutters, blurry textures and most unheard of there is no manual for the software.

They locked or hidden the aircraft config file and you can't even adjust certain settings to have the airplanes to behave somehow correctly.

Fine tuning of the flight controls is very rudimentary compared to FSX, P3D or XP 11 where you can fine tune very easy and to a satisfactory results.

Unfortunately it's not even close to the showcase.

I gave up on this "game". I run on a I9 10900K @ 5.3, 64 GB mem and on a Titan RTX and no mater what I do I see blurry textures on ground and objects.

Inside the cockpit is crystal clear and beautiful rendering.

Every other sim that I have P3D and XP 11 is smooth, excellent performance, no micro-stutters clear textures and objects at max settings.

Very disappointing to see such a mess after all that beautiful showcase.

They are so far way even from a initial beta version.

I hope I am in the right place to post this:

I have a Logitech MX Master 2S that I am trying to get recognized by MS 2020.  I am trying to tell the sim that I have this  mouse but it is only seeing a standard MS wireless mouse not the MX.  I have tried using the Logitech Options_20_329 and add the sim but I cannot find the sim .exe file which I believe I have to tell the Logitech software exists in order to support this mouse.

I cannot get access to WindowsApps folder where I believe the .exe folder.  I have tried various solutions but need help.

    Thank you in advance,

    Otrman AKA Henry
