Ultimate 146 Collection released for Prepar3Dv4

The QualityWings Team are happy to announce the release of the Ultimate 146 Collection for Prepar3Dv4!

Admittedly it has taken a while  to prep this little gem for the latest platform. Resources being limited they had to find the right time to develop the Jumbolino for P3Dv4.

So what is this plane all about?

Long haul and modern avionics are great but the Avro RJ and especially the Bae146 really go back to real pilot craftsmanship. Four engines, great sounds and incredible short field performance make this probably the coolest regional jet you will find.

    !cid_image001_jpg@01D47B78.jpg.1484a2c616959988dcd36482810b28eb.jpg

Unlike many other planes, the Avro’s capabilities allow you to discover unique destinations like LondonCity, Aspen or Cusco in Peru.

Enjoy three different cockpit variants ranging from fully analogue cockpit dials to modernized EFIS gauges in the typical style of the early 90s.

You see? This plane is anything but normal and that is what makes it so much fun to fly.

    How
    can I get it?

The Ultimate 146 Collection for P3Dv4 now is available from QualityWings  partner Flight1.

Either head over to their product page  directly or conveniently handle your purchase via the new Flight1 Purchase Agent

In order to keep things simple QualityWings  have decided that there is no discount for existing customers of the Ultimate 146 for FS9/FSX.

Instead QualityWings went for an exceptionally fair price from now on.

Note that the Ultimate 146 for P3Dv4 does not introduce any new functionality or features over the existing version for FSX.

QualityWings sincerely hope you like the latest addition to their P3Dv4 fleet.

    Many Happy (STOL) Landings,

    Your QualityWings Team

Having flown on the Mini-C5A in real-life I may have to deviate from my normal GA-only mode and pick this little beastie up.

As I mentioned in the other thread here on AVSIM ... well worth every dime, congrats and a big thank you to QW for bringing this to P3D4.

    Cheers, Rob.

Am I reading this correctly that its only $19.95 for the P3D v4 version even if you don't have the FSX version?  Quite a bargain if that is the case.

Yes, you are, Mark. 😊  I hope every simmer will buy it to show support and that we love it to be like that!

I hope that they will "work" on making cockpit graphics more crisp, right now I found all the gauges and panel to be washed out compared to the other a/c and even outside view.

I doubt it.... I get the feeling they are porting it over from FSX "as is"... hence the price of just $U.S. 20.

A bit like the Coolsky Super 80 Pack ... a blast from the past... take it or leave it.

Shame though... both these old aircraft are awesome, and really deserve a wash and brush up.

Oh well. Such is life eh ?

(Having said that, I believe iFly finally got around to improving their 737 textures, even though their NG is on the horizon.)

I understand what you say, unfortunately, is a pity. They have a set oh HD files for the panel but still, some clean up is necessary.

On the other note, some switches don't work as to the DME on/off and DME hold, as an example.

Like every other software manufacturer, they rush the last 100 ft to make a buck, which is nothing wrong with it but when quality and functionality is affected it's not what I was expecting.

I do hope that a few more hours of work and quality control will do the justice.

Seriously; they're charging $20 for this product!  Exactly what were you 'expecting' for $20?  When compared to other developers, this price is MORE than fair. I find your criticism widely misplaced, especially the comment relating to making a 'quick buck,'

It's quite disappointing to see that you find normal that many switches throughout the cockpit don't work while my "criticism is widely misplaced".

It takes just a few small adjustments to fix some issues.

But if this is the norm for you having switches not working and a blurry panel, then let it be.

Good to see reasonable pricing in what seems a good package.  It may be a port but many of the aircraft sold now at high prices are just that too.  Right pricing should mean good sales and volume counts.  Right pricing may also bring people who normally rely on freeware or default making the move to more advanced payware products.

I am sure it is worth at least 14% of the cost of the 747

Too good to be true? Well, guess what?  It is good and it is true. lol

QW just made more money in 24hrs than most developers have in 1 year.

Having said all that, I would have preferred an upgraded version and paid a bit more, like 35 bucks.

I think they are more bothered about the 787 etc.

To be honest, I don't think the BAe146 was THAT popular.

They are a small company and commercial decisions have to made.

I haven't bought either yet, but I'm guessing the Super 80 Megapack from Coolsky / Flight1, is even more "dated" in terms of graphics. But, both imho, are very good aircraft and worth trying out.

I can get both for 20 quid a piece, with discounts on the Coolsky.... thats both for the same price as 1 Carenado...... I'm saying nothing !

The upside: I'm guessing both the BAe and the Super 80, will perform, FPS-wise, like default aircraft.... which if you are flying over OrbX stuff, will be very handy !?!?

I don't understand your post very well. But, people are very excited and appreciative with QW for making such great addon compatible with P3D 4.3  and at a very low price.

I've taken it up several times and I'm thrilled with it.

There are very few switches that are not functional and of those, none that are needed.

The cockpit textures are not up to today's standards, but they are not that bad either.

I'm perfectly satisfied with this purchase.  Thank you again QW!

Awesome news, and I think it's a great price point! My goodness, for only 20 dollars, I'll take the small warts some folk are unhappy about for a Jackson.

Good on you QW!, much appreciated.

This is a Quality Wings sim. As such it is simplified, some systems aren't functional. There was more functional in their FSX 146 than their 757 but it wasn't complete, so there's no reason to expect the P3D version to be complete either.
