Flight simulation enthusiasts have many reasons to justify the love, dedication, cost, and even the curiosity of our hobby. A few reasons are preparation for real life scenarios, or perhaps practicing what one has already learned during a flight lesson or just some good real world flying. For a group of charter school students enrolled at Southwest Aeronautics, Mathematics, and Science Academy, this idea has come to fruition.
The Albuquerque Journal reported two simulators, at a retail cost of $111,000 (USD), were installed at this charter school and the students were so eager to get it going, they were helping the salesmen set it up like kids at Christmas morning. (Ok, now how many of us would have been feeling just as excited?!)
