A Patent Troll Petition was launched by Laminar Research creators of X-Plane in order to get the government to take action against frivolous lawsuit . Laminar Research is a victim of one such "Patent troll" because of a common technology it uses on their Android X-Plane mobil app to verify purchases with a server.
The goal of the petition is to raise 100,000 signatures. At that point an official response from the government is required. This is one instance where your participation can be turned into an Executive order, its claimed frivolous lawsuits cost the United States over $500 billion dollars a year.
