HighlightsThis DVD features the 737-800 and 767-300 aircraft. Out of all the 737 DVDs I have seen thus far. this is perhaps one of the best. We start off with a flight from Amsterdam to Malaga which then continues to Faro and then back to Amsterdam.

Some of the highlights I enjoyed were the cockpit preparations by the First Officer as he went through all of his (first flight of the day) flows in detail. I also enjoyed the walkaround of the aircraft and the cockpit presentation on the final leg back to Amsterdam.

Other aspects of these flights worth mentioning are the interesting discussions on the history of the 737, the captain’s discussion on how to use the nose wheel steering and the clear view of the startup sequence for the 737-800.

The second portion of the DVD features the 767-300 from Amsterdam to Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire and back to Amsterdam.

Some of the highlights I enjoyed were the Stunning approaches flown into Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao. Also, you will definitely enjoy the tour of Curacao which may undoubtedly stir up ideas for your next vacation spot.

Other highlights on the return trip to Amsterdam were the walkaround of the aircraft before departure, Cabin service presentation during the cruise and an interesting discussion by the Captain on the history of the company.

All in all this was a fantastic DVD and it goes down in the books as one of my favorites. – Recommended.

    Air Caraibes

Our next DVD features Air Caraibes with flights onboard the A330 to Paris Orly and the ERJ-145, Cessna Caravan, Dornier 228 and the ATR-72 to various Caribbean Destinations. This DVD was previously sold out and in this review you will see why.

    Highlights

Our first round trip takes us from Martinique to Paris Orly onboard the A330. Highlights of this trip were the night time walkaround of the aircraft at FDF, cabin meal service and a lovely view of the sunrise over the Atlantic before arriving in Paris.

On the return leg, we start off with a crew briefing and a few clips of the cabin crew as they prepare the galley for the meal service during the flight. Other highlights were the cockpit presentation and a very scenic approach to Martinique.

Jumping onboard the ERJ-145, we take off from Point A Pitre to destinations such as Port au Prince, Santo Domingo and St. Maarten. These flights, while not featuring cockpit presentations were very enjoyable from a scenic point of view and I am sure everyone will agree that flying in the Caribbean is always an enjoyable experience because of its natural beauty.

After landing in St.Maarten, we hop onboard the Caravan for a short trip to St.Barth. This speaks for itself and I need not mention what an amazing flight experience this was since you have to see it to believe it.

From St.Barths, we jump onboard the D228 for a short trip to Guadeloupe and then we board the Caravan once more for perhaps the most exciting part of this DVD. The Caravan takes us from Guadeloupe on an island hoping (touch and go) trip to many of the smaller islands of the French Caribbean including, Terre De Haut, Marie Galante and La Desirade. Needless to say the small runways and beautiful scenery made this portion of the DVD very memorable and exciting.

Our final round trip flight takes us onboard the ATR-72 for a short trip to St.Martin (Guadeloupe). Again, while this didn’t feature a cockpit presentation it was very enjoyable from a scenic point of view and I would definitely recommend that you check out this DVD in its entirety. - Recommended

    Summary / Closing Remarks

Once again, these DVDs were an absolute pleasure to watch and I think anyone who loves aviation will enjoy them. At a cost of $25-30 each they are a bargain.

These are perfect for days when you want to see or do something aviation related but also want to enjoy the comforts of your home. Just Planes has really stepped up their editing and production of their DVDs and I am sure we will continue to see more innovations in their future products.
