  2. How about the cloud layers with ASFS, do they rise when you get on higher altitudes aswell or are we able to see real layers which are on lower altitudes?
  3. I can guarantee it would. most likely you would mostly fly the same type GA aircraft you flew in real life instead of airliners. 😀
  4. Pimax (who makes the Pimax Crystal line of VR headsets) recommends using a DP switcher and cable. The one below is the one they recommend. You can't run another device at the same time, but with this you can instantly switch off one DP connection and turn on another. Pimax recommended swithcher https://www.amazon.com/DisplayPort-switcher-Bi-Directional-Switcher-Switching/dp/B0CB4SH1BD/ Pimax recommended cable https://www.amazon.com/DisplayPort-Braided-32-4Gbps-Compatible-Monitor/dp/B07VVJZJ2P/
  5. Yes, basically it has a Harrier under each wing!
  6. Funny Bird that flying narwhal 😂😎 cheers 😉
  7. Does anyone know if there are newly updated simbrief profiles for the current revised Fenix models. Lee
  8. Today i did the first flight after the update ( now V.2.0.0.407 ) and just to say it was just BEAUTIFUL so superb smooth on my old Rig, so love that update. No problems with GSX with this update but i had some with the last build.. Great work Fenixguys !! 👍 Flight was from EDDS to HEGN around 4h.. cheers 😉
  9. I'm having the same issue. Using the Hc tool as downloaded doesn't seem to work (unless I forget how to load profiles). Would just changing the file destinations to V6 everywhere it says V5 solve this?
  10. Nice set, like that little Bird..🤗 cheers 😉
  11. I am sure that you will see lots of great video's Alex. Hang in there for a little bit. Robert
  12. Hello Marc, TS and CB's are a big ticket item for me as well. Fortunately I think that HiFi has a really good basis to make incredible improvements. The program will need a little time to bud; with feedback from users it will eventually blossom into something that will be unforgettable. Robert
  13. Are there any release notes to support this? I normally save a copy for reference. Edit: Found here: https://www.flightsimulator.com/city-update-vi-southwest-germany/
  14. Would be great, with the real traffic navigating around storms you'll see in sim!
  15. I click LOAD AIRCRAFT and then GSX (with simbrief flightplan loaded). I get the following error message: Server error occured Error during loadsheet generation. See log for more details. Can anyone help?
  16. Describing a warm front as an example, doesn't mean the software doesn't know the differences to a cold front or the way to depict it. Default or addon isn't going to be perfect, but so far, the addon weather engines are doing a better job with cloud depiction than default live weather. Ah, those early days when I would open MSFS and spawn ahead of a front and fly towards it. No point these days because it will just be slightly different cumulus. At least the addons return lovely varied cloud types/layers to the sim.
  17. Hello Gerard, Ah yes, your beautiful home cockpit! I remember it well. Unfortunately, no one on the team has a setup like yours, as far as I know. I will inquire and let you know. Robert
  18. Saw on Facebook a post from Just Flight earlier today saying that the release date is apparently “fairly imminent” - so just hope we’ll get some more proper videos very soon to showcase what’s it’s capable of so we can all make up our minds!
  19. Today
  20. Not at all. It can but most of the time it doesn‘t. At FL380 you can easily see 200 miles around or more. And often you will see different looking weather, clouds, sky-covered then blue sky etc.
  21. That's exactly what I was thinking when I was testing ASFS.
  22. I really do enjoy his videos on tweaking and settings and all but I must admit this video is literally 15 mins long of stuff we already know. He does not have any other "information" that we the public don't already have. Thumbs down from me on this one.
  23. Great piece of hardware at great price when it works. Using it with Fenix. Just got mine recently and after some talks to support they got it working for me after having to install some DirectX runtime library. https://winwingsim.com/view/help.html?nav=W3siaWQiOjIsInRpdGxlIjoiU2VydmljZSJ9LHsiaWQiOjgsInRpdGxlIjoiU29mdHdhcmUifV0=&id=d3d0MTU2 So I got it working but now other issues. 1. Does not just simply connect for me, only way to get it working is once I am in Fenix battery ON I then start the SimAppPro once running then i have to go to Device TAB, select the device (FCU) and then move one of the knobs on the unit.. that seems to wake up the device and it all connected and working, however..... 2. FCU seems to stop responding after some time as if it goes to sleep and i have to bring the SimAppPro to focus then it works again.. not for very long maybe 3 minutes, I made sure that all the silly power saving features of USB are disabled etc.. and they should be as it does not go dormant when used with FSUIPC So I just set it up with FSUIPC and this way all knobs and buttons work, device stays responsive indefinitely I do however loose the displays, so only knobs and buttons work, also there is no animation when used like that. So these are my issues with it, hopefully will work out the bugs with time. Since I play in VR I don't really care for the displays and willing to wait till software matures, defiantly not a Plug&Play out of the box experience on my end.
  24. But the typical cold front is the opposite. It is wedged under the lighter warmer air, forcing it rapidly upwards (compared to warm front, the cold front gradient is steep) with convective clouds and showers as result. I mean they offer two completely different flying experiences. Warm front has poor visibility, cold front has not. Cold front is choppy, warm front usually is not. VFR flyers can navigate through a cold front since visibility is usually fine and you can dodge the showers. But VFR in warm front is where people get lost and disoriented (in fact @Cpt_Piett this is was the 180 degree turn in IMC during the PPL checkride simulates, a head-on encounter with a warm front which gradually puts you in clouds) People write about fronts but fail to deliver what should be both depicted in sim and the associated flying conditions. " I see clouds therefore must be a front". Well no, not all fronts will generate clouds, or precipitation even. And Convective clouds can form without a frontal system being present, such as convergence lines (see below and ask @jcomm about these and he'll be beaming) and obviously your local summer thunderstorm. And we haven't even touched the various types of occlusion fronts and what they bring.
