  1. Past hour
  2. I guess no LC variant this go-round. Have a friend who was a USN Herc pilot, did a few Antarctic deployments back when USN had that mission. scott s. .
  3. But do they keep supporting MSFS2020 for ten years like they claimed before release? Keeping that old dog running with a few sparse users whilst they look to create a potential 3rd iteration of the rejuvenated franchise? It's an interesting concept to copy the OS approach, but this is a game at the end of the day and that's the part where I think they're trying something that simply won't work very well. We have to remember a lot of sales come from Xbox, the next gen xbox won't want MSFS2020 on it, it'll want the MSFS2024 and MSFS2024 only.
  4. But the issue as I see it, is most of the Youtube ( I know nothing about the product) reviewers have convinced many viewers that all AS is, is a "Cash Grab" ( using their words in many cases. ) So I have read many comments where the posters said that they heard that AS was not worth buying, after watching reviews on Youtube. That is a shame.
  5. Thank you! And as said in previous message - we will add ability to display FSHud estimated Arrival Procedures and transitions once the flight was loaded Although IRL, from application perspective - FSHud does have this information once the flight was loaded, no reason not to display it to user.
  6. I wonder how long it will take for someone to create an A330 mod based on BelugaXL.
  7. While iniBuilds apparently has a much larger team than we're used to in flight simming, it does appear that acceptable volume products over fewer top-tier ones is iniBuilds' strategy.
  8. So get ASFS and you won't be restricted to 24 hours. Here is what you get in ASFS Ground snow coverage data is available for the past 10 days only. Tropical storm data is available live and older than 10 days in the past (not available historically within 10 days of present). All other weather data is available, in hourly archives, for the past several years. Some dates/times or data layers may not be available. Coverage, resolution, and availability is subject to change.
  9. I'm not quite sure because FSX: Steam Edition is still there, after almost 10 years. I know it's not the same thing, but still...
  10. Couldn't care less about the Beluga, but the A400M could be a lot of fun.
  11. Not all 700 are working for Microsoft full time. Microsoft contracts out some work and once the contract is done, most of the people at the partner companies move on to otner projects where Microsoft isn't paying them. I don't even know if all 200 people at Asobo working on MSFS 2020, are working on it full time (ie. some are obviously working on MSFS 2024, in parallel witn MSFS 2020).
  12. Thanks, Makes a whole lot of sense. It adds to the realism and gives me something to keep me busy near the end of the flight. BTW, loving FSHud so far (first flight with it), KLAS - CYYC.
  13. I'm almost certain they will. They're treating the sim like an operating system, which IMO is actually brilliant, because the economic engine that keeps MSFS in development is the Marketplace. If you can keep the 2020 base that don't switch to 2024 and pay the $60 entrance fee relatively up-to-date and with the majority of Marketplace addons still working in their simulator, you'll keep driving sales. Fail to do that and you're leaving money on the table. It's a very smart GTM strategy, this is the kind of stuff I do for work and I'm impressed by their approach to this.
  14. "How many aircraft do you want to develop simultaneously?" Inibuilds: "Yes" Can't be good for the quality of each individual aircraft...
  15. Hi Nico, I use your app a lot and have very good traffic immersive and coverage with realtime data. One thing I want to check. I use the option to remove AI traffic from collision ground and air. All these are checked. But on ground AI desapear only when Im a few meter from them. On air today I was landing on final a AI come over me and Land before me. Thanks for help.
  16. It's hard to notice on videos or while in you are in an actual gameplay (or simming in our case). I remember back in 2022 people needed to print the "fake frame" to be able to show inconsistencies. In all games I've tried it was always minor. It's a lot less noticeable than the DLAA blurriness for example.
  17. I guess that can be one angle but I'm not overly convinced, will be interesting to see if they end up de-listing MSFS2020 next year instead. Time will tell.
  18. Agreed--video capture does not show this well likely due to the capture rate and compression algorithms. If you saw what I see on my display live you'd have absolutely zero problem seeing serious artifacts as I've described them,. and by 'serious' my definition is bad enough to where it's simply too distracting, and undesirably unnatural. And I've stated several times these artifacts are very lighting-dependent. If you're curious enough to test it, do this: Set AA method to TAA Set AMD FidelityFX to 200 Back out of gate B45 in say the PMDG 738, and point yourself due east. Load up the Taxi or Runway load setting so your displays turn on and function. Set the time of day to around 1h after sunrise (so the tarmac is nice and bright, and the light is coming in from that low angle). Set weather to clear skies. Now pan or taxi and notice out the left window what the tarmac looks like close to the plane. Here, the flickering/strobing is too much, and the glass cockpit and FMC characters are unstable and vibrate or something when panning. Who knows maybe your system has something that would change this it's always possible. Our systems are otherwise not identical at all including HDR settings, various other factors. I strongly prefer maximum image quality over frame rate and the best possible image quality comes out of the normal rendering pathway, not thru frame interpolation. That being said the current version of NV DLSS FG is very good, and superior to prior versions. My guess is it will continue to evolve in a good way and some day may pass the Turing Test for matching native rendering. In fact it's already mostly there save these aberrations when certain types of sharpening algorithms come into play.
  19. Thanks so much for confirming that! Helps a lot with my understanding of FSHud. You are correct, Simbrief does give me a STAR & Arrival, but I usually remove them manually, just to let Pilot2ATC or FSHud assign for me. Normally it is the same as what Simbrief assigned though. But with FSHud I may revert back to filing whatever STAR Simbrief assigns and not bother altering the FP. Again, thanks for that.
  20. Ok, I have edited the top comment and noted that according to you, it is the Beluga XL.
  21. That's correct - in IRL you estimate your STAR and landing runway according flight planning information that you have (in your case SimBrief) - and ATC instructions can be kind of surprising when before TOD ATC says to you assigned runway and procedure. But I guess it's a bit not realistic to ask ATC for assigned runway and procedure when you're 1 or 2 hours before TOD.
  22. it is important for them to have both sims run most of the marketplace add ons, that is where the most of the profit comes from, the sim is a platform, you pick what ever suet you based on your budget and hardware capability.
  23. It sounds like they are tying the time-of-day slider to the weather depicted. That's how it should have always been. I mean, they tied the light depiction to the time-of-day, and not the weather? It never made any sense.
  24. I think he was talking about the core development, like AAUs and SUs.
  25. FSHud assigns you all the route gate-to-gate when you start the flight. But it can be changed during flight. For now you can see the landing runway in left section of panel - we will improve it to show the procedure as well.
