    What's considered a toolbar mod for these purposes? Navigraph stuck its charts thing on my toolbar, but I suspect that's not the kind of mod that would interfere with AS, right?

    It has not been opened up and, indeed, there is no sign at all from Asobo that it ever will be. Active Sky has essentially done two things. One, what REX had already done, creating a preset and then modifying the parameters of that preset based on Active Sky's weather data. The other is to modify aspects of real weather that are accessible, it seems mainly turbulence settings. But here again the rabbit hole begins with ASFS being compatible with RealTurb, which adds things that ASFS doesn't -- so now I need two programs...

    Shortly because I left for 2 weeks I recieved the famous "please insert the MSFS disc" message on startup. I was hoping for this issue to be gone when I get back. Now i get "your data cannot be synced with the cloud" on startup. I can play offline if i want to but nothing will get saved in that mode. I checked for updates in MS store and xbox live but still no change. Anything I can do about that? Is there currently a server outage at MS? EDIT: nevermind, its gone. So are my settings anyways. love it.

    My guess, he didn't know how to set it up. Wouldn't be the first time a Youtuber did a review about a new product, and was clueless.

    Can someone provide a brief summary for me? I know there's a 20+ page thread elsewhere, but here's what I don't understand. Only a few short weeks ago, many people were correctly pointing out that, for whatever reason, Asobo had not yet decided to open up the sim to thirty-party weather development. Today, however, there's a finish product for sale. I'm very familiar with Damian Clark's esteemed reputation. And I'm sure the new product is of outstanding quality. I'm just wondering how we went from "no development allowed" to "On Sale Now" in only a few weeks. There's apparently something I'm missing.

    Just viewed his stream. Ended it with uninstalling ASFS and called it a “ waste of time” Really looking for some positive feedback before bitting the bullet.

    Not to divert the topic, but why would AS need an AIRAC update? You mean to pick up new airports (METAR stations) or delete old ones?

    Thanks for your support! Yes, you should change it when you change airplanes. We're planning on a more transparent integration here moving forward to eliminate the need to change this manually. This supplies wind data uplink to the FMC based on AS data.

    Congrats on the release Damian ! 1 question Damian. Does AS able to control visibility when in live weather and outside metar area ? For example in P3D it did it based on humidity temperature and dew point. is it like this still ? Thank you !

    I have only spent a few minutes on it and am already floored. I haven't flown in the weather yet, but the historical weather and the depiction of the current live weather are massively better that the MSFS Live weather (and lack of historical weather)! I spawned into the new KLGA with MSFS Live weather and thought it looked like terrible conditions. Turned on ASFS and the depiction was different enough that I tried to look for a web cam that might validate one or the other. Couldn't get a picture from the field, but one that was close by was a great deal closer to the ASFS depiction than the MSFS one. Now to dig into the manual! Anyone figured out how to update the AIRAC on the program?

    Well I put my money where my mouth was earlier this thread. Installed, configured (Realism Mode) and ready to go tonight. Set my PMDG WX folder default for first time in the sim. Point of interest: There is only ONE default PMDG WX folder assignable but I have more than one PMDG plane. I will have to find out if I need to change this default when I change plane or copy files etc. To be fair I don't even KNOW what this does yet hehe.

    It's designed to be compatible. RealTurb has always provided some additional features that work on top of AS and this should not change, although it may need an update since ASFS hasn't been available until now.
