    And you don’t know, if any of these other companies would do anything better. It‘s my humble opinion, but I have never seen a better and more immersive weather depiction in any other simulator. Of course, I miss a functional weather radar. As I see it, a weather radar only makes sense, when flying into bad weather leads to consequences for your flight.

    @hangar @Donka @zorro747 I installed the Virtual Desktop and Wow! It is better now. Just need to go through all the settings\adjustments. Also ordered a CAT8 Ethernet cable to connect the desktop with the router. I am sorry, may I ask you guys for a couple of more advices: 1. What accessories you would recommend to buy for Quest 3, based on your experience? 2. How you clean\wipe the pancake lenses? Just dry soft cloth, alcohol swabs? Thank you!

    I get the dreaded crash blue restart of pc, trying microsoft edge to see if i still get it, hopefully its firefox causing it and not some thing else. Only happen when using firefox and not during any games

    MSFS looks great out of the box, so I’m not using many visual enhancements. I’m using a lot of other addons though. Just finished a video of an A320 flight from ENTM Oslo to ENBR Bergen, and this is the addon list from the video description: Almost forgot Addons Linker for organizing all the addons https://flightsim.to/file/1572/msfs-addons-linker Apart from these I have a ton of payware aircraft and payware sceneries. Favorite airliners: Fenix A320 iniBuilds A300-600R Just Flight BAe 146 Favorite GA: The Black Square range (King Air, Caravan, TBM850 and more) Black Square will release the Duke very soon, which might be the best GA in the sim. Highly anticipated. Today Aerosoft released ENGM Oslo which could be the best payware airport in the sim - the attention to detail is insane. And Active Sky for MSFS released some 10 hours ago 😁 Didn’t know about this. Bit pricey at 30 USD but also very feature-rich. Might be worth getting. Looks like //42 have quite a few decent addons (got stripr for loading screens).

    Well, I managed to download the livery by registering with a different email address. The link in the email still wouldn't work in Firefox. Managed to open it with a private browser window and got it download. Put it in the Community folder and after all of that it didn't show up in the sim.

    Didn’t think of that, was looking in the beta news forum. Btw I think my DLSS have been overwritten once again, back to 2.4.2. I was on 3.7, and noticed worse antialiasing and speed tape ghosting after the update.

    User preference. Zinertek. They one were one of the rare early adapters of making a long lasting product for a new product. They just look better.

    I think I was hinting that boomers got their money very easily compared to the previous and following generations but look down on the following generations who are unlikely to ever experience the luxury of not needing or wanting (more) money.

    Just flew into oakland straight into 30 no crosswind though winds fairly light didn't seem to oscillate like it's behind on the rudder input. But hey never flew a PC-12 😉 I worked line service back in the day. Looks on screen are quite deceiving with this plane they are a fairly big plane kinda like a lifted 4x4 😉

    The glory days of Active Sky for the weather injection and SkyForce 3D for the cloud textures in P3D were great. It's such a shame that the clouds in MSFS are still so bad. I really wish there was something similar to SkyForce that could completely change the way the clouds are rendered. I really dislike the look of them.

    Both of these truely fine developers have a place at the table here. No question. Free market competition breeds solutions and innovation. Both have responded not only now, but over a great stretch of sim history. In previous simulators I had a great preference for attributes from each of these. I highly valued the textures from REX SF. Unequaled. And I also highly valued the weather injection from AS16. As a former weather professional both are of great importance for me.

    I just bought ASFS. Really happy with it. Similar to the experience we had using FSX/P3D. It would be great if some of those older features like wing fade and in-cloud motion effects can be brought in at some point!

    Hi - I have been noticing that certain aircraft have very erratic final approaches. It seems to be the CRJ's 700/900 and A220 from what I have noticed so far. They tend to drop vertically at different points on 1-2 mile final and usually drop out of the sky to land. I actually saw a CRJ 900 do a 'Harrier' approach and landing at KLGA this evening..wish I had gotten a video.😄 I just wondered what might causes this...is it the particular model? I tried removing the AIG versions and seeing if FSLTL was any better but they were not (might even be same model??). I do also have JustFlight Traffic models so maybe I can see if they work any better. Thanks!

    You have to install (if not already), Navigraph FMS Data Manager, in addon mapping with the plus sign (+) add Active Sky P3D (New for v4/v5), you'll have a folder on the right side, click on it, and look for AS_FS installation folder (mine as default is: C, Program Files, HiFi, AS_FS) select that last folder, then go back to addon List, there you should now have Active Sky P3D (New for v4/v5), tick the little left box and then update it with the right buttons, think its the down arrow simbol.

    You understood that the wrong way. At release the live-weather had a HUGE bug: the local conditions at airports were completely off. Pressure, temperature, winds and cloud-coverage were all wrong in 80% of cases or more. No chances to plan any of your flights with such an unpredictive "mess". So to fix that they had to add metars (don't know why they forgot it first). The MB-general-forecast doesn't have the resolution to simulate the individual weather at airports. So they had to blend 2 weather-sources. They didn't "completely screw up the weather system", they made it better (because it was completely screwed up at the beginning). The fact that you prefered it doesn't change the fact that it had nothing to do with "real live weather", at least where it matters the most (around airports, to start and land) and had to be fixed. I very much doubt that they will add another option like "fantasy weather" just to please those who prefered that completely inacurate weather, just because it looked more "natural".
