  1. Past hour
  2. Would like to check any update about the vhhh third runway? As I found that both Jeppesen and Navigraph already release the chart that include the third runway (RWY07L/RWY25R) as following https://navigraph.com/airport/VHHH/Hong-Kong-International https://ww2.jeppesen.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/VHHH-APP-CAO-pre-info-for-website.pdf And the official data from the government also can found in following url: https://www.ais.gov.hk/eaip_20240321/2024-05-16-000000/html/eAIP/VH-AD-2-VHHH-en-US.html?search=show#i1490624
  3. Well, first thing I noticed was lightning inside of a small puffy cumulus cloud at :17. That is the same bug that was in default WX before....
  4. Doing 1st flight now after update. No issues so far...just out of Seattle. Seems very smooth. Don't particularly like the airline, but appreciate the artwork by @Jviation. Been flying N604NK a while around the USA doing its real schedule. Flown on this bird IRL a few times, even painted it in Skittles a few years back....when I was actually sitting in 23F on the actual plane. 🙂
  5. I didn’t realise this. I can imagine MSFS 2020 has pushed what can be done on Xbox to the limit. Since they’re obviously generating a decent income from Xbox on the Market Place, further optimisation in the 2024 version is going to be vital to keep that gravy train rolling.
  6. Seeing clouds on one side is not the same as seeing different weather on one side.
  7. The ability to see fronts is my biggest question. I love being able to fly through clear skies, see a patch of clouds / cold front coming, then fly though it.
  8. Today
  9. I have seen plenty of times clouds on one side and not the other with ASFS. It is not as if every direction is the same weather with its methods.
  10. Blimey, what an enlightening thread! It seems like there are a number of 'elephants in the room' that aren't openly talked about, at least none that I have seen. There seem to be more problems with running FG than I first realised. I will have to rethink my future triple monitor setup by the sounds of things.
  11. Abarth! My daughter has a Fiat 500. I had no idea she was a pilot.
  12. Not completely easy, but dooable obviously, as a lot of scenery designers do it. Maybe someone like @superspud can give you an indication of how easy it is without going into a full tutorial. I believe there are a few tutorials on YouTube if you do a search for them.
  13. I think muting or blocking anyone is a mistake. While it is obvious some posters can be annoying, it can show a lack of tolerance and a thin skin if you have to mute anybody. It also shows you just like living in an echo chamber without any opposing views. I find it is best to just read and then not reply. I really doesn't take much to do that, and even the most annoying of people can drop a pearl of wisdom occasionally. I don't know who made the original quote, but someone once said "allowing and listening to free speech is paramount, as you really need to know who the idiots are!"
  14. No, they have done it on a few occasions, especially as Xbox has had more problems with memory allocation etc. It is easy to trigger it for just one platform.
  15. The question is 'if'. I really love how MSFS can show you different kinds of weather in all four directions up to the horizon (where you can actually fly towards and in and out of) and I would hate to see the same kind of weather all around me.
  16. This is what only default live weather can do but no other weather tool: show the correct weather along a weather front! Looking to the left right now over Bologna: Looking to the right right now over Bologna: This is elementary imho because at FL300 IRL you can easily "see" the weather map inside a radius of several hundred kilometers. The transitions from good into bad weather looks completely different than any of those global-preset based tools could generate. On the screenshots we can see that we have CAVOK to the French border and beyond while a cloud system sits above the Adria. Some of the ASFS beta testers might post the same screenshots to see the difference.
  17. Thanks for feedback. Have been monitoring this thread. Thanks for reporting those two switches. This is an example of what happens when a plane is updated. They were working fine for ages. In most recent PMDG update, it appears the SDK no longer provides access to AircraftModel variable, required to distinguish which variant has IFE + Galley or just galley. We had to find another way to work this out. Should now behave as before with the new patch.
  18. There are some real 787 drivers who think it's pretty good. And they have no reason to be conflicted in their opinion. But we all measure flightsim with different yardsticks. For some, 'good enough' is pretty good. For others, 'good enough' isn't nearly good enough. For me, I think it's 'good enough' in a good way, but the awful rotation behavior killed the immersion. I will revisit the setup as noted above and give it another go.
  19. Yes, however - in the best of all cases - you don‘t notice that. I mean you wouldn‘t know or care what weather is beyond your line of sight, until you are actually in visible range to it. If AS can create those distance weather fronts at the right moment, it would be perfect.
  20. The splash screens don't bother me, they're on screen for a little while then you never see them again. Maybe if people put more effort into telling Asobo what's really wrong with the Sim we'd see the obvious bugs get fixed quicker.
  21. First flight EGKK/LEBL for me this morning with the last Fenix, it works very good and the fps perfomance is excellent, better than before (3080 + FG mod, 5900x). Waiting for more updated liveries, italian ones included.
  22. nice one 😁, maybe I should have said (I can't tell the difference), would that work OK for you? English is my third language, but you know what I mean, right?
