  1. Past hour
  2. Amen! When I was beta testing I saw a bit of the cumulus clouds boiling and morphing. Reminded me of my old flying days with bright blue skies and brilliant white cumulus and they were moving and changing shape as I went by. Beautiful but deadly.
  3. Personal preference. Tweak as needed, but I had it at Low beforehand anyway because that's what Fenix recommends. As an additional data point, @Damian Clark has also mentioned that the effects were developed with Low turbulence in the MSFS settings.
  4. 😄 True. Just wait until this thread turns into its own 20+ page thread, filled with repetitive comments. There'll be yet another new thread opened up!
  5. Yes, I flew the Fenix this morning, no problems.
  6. No it happens on Steam as well, I've had it happen twice to me. Might be rarer than those who purchased from the store? G
  7. that's up to your preference. Leave it at default and adjust up/down as you prefer.
  8. Just start program, load flight plan from simbrief, and take off.
  9. The tester reports on the latest beta say the problem has been resolved.
  10. Oh, OK. That might push me over to purchase. What should the MSFS setting for turbulence be with the program? Thanks.
  11. Just want to say that based on my experience IRL sometimes cumulus can grow from little puff to a huge cloud in a matter of minutes, especially over mountains. So I think to incorporate something like that would sound reasonable as part of smoothing transition
  12. This actually a thing. I do work with Microsoft products professionally and in my line or work a lot of technical support issue being resolve when customer get windows updates up to date. 80% of the time it's networking issue which in turn also related to cloud syncing . Microsoft is notorious for disrupting network connections when important security updates are pending
  13. Agreed. I set it to 5 and it seemed good. Need to test more, as the new beta download made all transition s slower, so I'm going to restart the setting at 50 and tweak from there.
  14. Hi Ray, Did you do a clean install when you went to Win 11 Pro or did you upgrade from Win 10? I've hear of past problems with the upgrade leaving bits and pieces which clutter up operations. Jim Driskell
  15. Absolutely. There are two presets (Easy and Realistic) that can be set and then tweaked. I have gone through all the settings and have only modified one or two off of the Realistic preset. The interface is a bit daunting the first time you look at it, but that depth and tweakability are what differentiate this product from Rex (which I also have, although haven't used it in a long time) and from MSFS. It honestly doesn't take that long to figure it out, though. As a personal observation, I find the depiction to be great and much better than just live weather (more representative of the real world and less volcanic ash and greater variety of clouds and layers). I was also able to check out the storms in Dubai from a few days ago. Paired with PSXT for the traffic, it was fascinating to see how the traffic waxed and waned with the storms.
  16. I set weather transition smoothness to 3 and it's much better, but there is still room for improvement. Occasionally clouds still pop and disappear
  17. Forgot to mention I also bought the Rara Avis Horten. More expense, but the texturing and flight model are lovely. Never had a flightsim hangar like this one. 😉
  18. Cloud turbulence is there. It's very good.
  19. Did any one in this thread try what @sd_flyer suggested in the second post? This is (most probably) the solution (except for windowed screen to be solved with SU15) but no one seems to pay attention very much as it may sound too simple...😎 We tend to forget these updates of Window Store and Xbox even if we don't use one. In some extreme cases, you may have to uninstall the Xbox App and reinstall it.
  20. You can always depend on Aerosoft to go the 'extra mile' in airport design.
  21. Bob From what I have seen so far in the promo material, the drop down menus suggest quite a bit of complexity, or fine tuning of variables, can be dialed up. But can you also run it fairly 'simply'. ie, don't need to spend 15 minutes before a flight punching in variables data? T45
  22. Because there are a lot of "streamers" who are completely inept and only interested in click bait for subscribers. Talk about scammers. I haven't seen all the streams but so far the ones I have seen indicate that the user doesn't have a clue on how to use the product.
  23. Just to clarify, ASFS right now doesn't have cloud turbulence - That's a WIP, correct? Thanks.
