This stream auto-updates

  1. Past hour
  2. So the clouds never change throughout your flight from departure to destination ?
  3. I didn’t but I went to the livery manager and realized most had updates which fixed the issue. Thank you though
  4. There are some instructions from another Spad.NEXT user on the AzurPoly Discord. @kevinfirth may have some advice as well. PS I don't use Spad.NEXT.
  5. Damian - it's good to see that HiFi is finally coming out with an MSFS2020 product! Although I'm sure the limitations and roadblocks you've mentioned previously in this thread still apply, I will definitely be getting ASFS. I hope that MSFS comes around eventually to open up the sim weather access, maybe in a way that doesn't allow read access to the global weather model, but allows 3rd parties to create their own regional model for a specific flight. All the best with ASFS and your continued success and contributions to the flight sim community.
  6. I got the Azupoly Bronco and they did a very nice job on it, but I'm having trouble figuring out what to assign the throttle and prop axis to in Spad.NEXT for the Honeycomb Bravo. If anyone has done this, I'd appreciate some guidance. Thanks!
  7. It looks cool, but my iniBuilds GA planes tend to be hanger queens. They are distinctly average imo. Which I guess is fine for the price you pay (they are often cheap), but I've decided that I really only want to buy planes that I will fly from now on. This looks like something I'll fly for a few days at most.
  8. Today
  9. I know I saw a list somewhere that had a list of numbers for each letter of the alphabet to use when making assigned parking for airlines, I just cannot remember where I saw it. Does anyone here know where I can get it?
  10. Early in FSX and P3D, yes. However later on with P3D and AS Force, we had fronts. It was a major selling point of upgrading from Active Sky Next and Evolution. From what I remember in the later versions of P3D they had jerry rigged the weather engine to provide additional “layers” of weather that allowed for transitions of the current weather, seamlessly. This all changed of course with the integration of TrueSky, because of it being a global volumetric cloud system and you couldn’t do things like towering clouds. Back then I remember they played with the transition model of volumetric clouds. All they had control over was the slowing of the transition. Which combined with no transitions over the descent phase allowed for a low amount of awareness that it was transitioning. I remember it being noticeable for me the same way that I would always look at a scratch on my phone screen after I spot it. Other than a lack of lightning I really have a hard time finding a low variance of weather systems with the MSFS weather engine. I can clearly see fronts and weather systems when I leave them and enter others. I’ve seen icing and see the snow on the ground accumulate. The only complaint I have “which Seb acknowledged on the last dev update “ was the lack of towering clouds up the to stratosphere and lightning . It seems to me that the audience for this is clearly the historical weather community, the local flyer, the person that doesn’t mind the “preset” based weather who may not mind setting things up and changing them up for a new flight. For me at this point it’s not seamless enough. So I’ll see when it releases
  11. Thanks for addressing, I though this is something on my end it drove me crazy. God to know it has nothing to do with me.
  12. I managed to improve FG here w/ the two screen issue as it relates to what I have called 'strobing'. It's probably 70% improved such that it does not become the show stopper any more. But things like PMDG's black and white FMC screens really wobble when panning and it's not good at all. So after a brief foray again w/ FG it's back off again. By the time you get to 40 it's not bad at all here as it eliminates the issues w/ 2 screens completely and TBH panning is perhaps better than at FG 60, go figure. I did discover I had AMD's version of hyperthreading on by default, and turning that (SMT) off improved the native frame rate substantially. So locking at 40 should be great everywhere, and higher in most places no problem at all. I think what I will do is disconnect the 2nd display and see how FG is then and run CapFrameX. Right now FTV is beyond poor even in native only mode which I'm hoping isn't to do with Ryzen. Do we have any verified excellent FTV reports with Ryzen 7800x3D users? TBH it feels very smooth but CFX output doesn't correlate at all.
  13. Lovely set of shots, Andreas. And now some more scenery I have to go grab! Superspud's sceneries are always excellent.
  14. Hi all, found some nice and detailed scenery for the little archipel Helgoland in the northern sea. Scenery is by superspud, can be downloaded from flightsim.to. There are 2 islands, one is Düne with the airport EDXH and the other Helgoland where the village is on. Thank you very much for viewing! Cheers Andreas
  15. Not impressed, doesnt look any better than default. Those "thunderstorms" are still way too short in height. Thunderstorms dont top out at 10000ft in real life.
  16. Ah ok, I didn´t watched that topic, it can be deleted without any worries, ... ok, I will cry a bit, but no more, no problem.
  17. Once you've logged into your P3D account, in the section titled "Prepar3d v5 Xxxxxx" click on "+Legacy Full Downloads" for previous versions of v5. 5.3.17.28160 is 5.3 HF2. This is the best version of P3D v5 version for me. 5.4 just has too many issues on my system.
  18. Saw that EDNY was added as a hand-crafted airport and went to take a look. Grabbed the DO-31 but haven't read the manual yet and the buttons I had mapped for the Harrier and Osprey don't seem to work for it so I'll need to actually read the thing before I can do VTOL. But other than that a hot-start works fine for now. The airport and its surrounds look pretty good to me. Lots of the sort of detail I like. I'll shut up now and just post the pix. Suspect there'll be some good exploring to be done with this update. And the DO-31 will be fun once I've got my controls mapped.
  19. FlightBeam DEN - needs terminal layout updates to modern day, some taxi sign adjustments. I’d like to see that TNP windsock fixed as well.
  20. Thank you PM, glad you like it! 🙂
  21. Oops! 😄 ...but you didn't fancy adding the correct thread? 😉 Now corrected.
  22. Burning Blue Design did not form from Sim720. Sim720 sort of morphed into Turbulent Designs who no longer exist. Apart from distributing through Orbx, BBD never had any connection to Orbx though are clearly are inspired by the small UK strips done in the past by Orbx.
  23. Thank's a lot PM! 🙂 Thank you P_7878, Condor used some very nice paints over the years... Glad you like the scenery, have it nearly for the entire Europe in Xplane. It varies a bit but overall it's good and is all installed on the drives. Works in number 10, 11 and 12.
