  2. Yea .. the commentary by the person who posted the video is moving from objective review to open commentary. I don't mind the author adding a bit of color to a review but its no longer a review when the author cannot control himself from. Negatively calling out people who get value from the product. Personally calling out the dev by name. The product under review is Active Sky.. not the dev behind it. To be honest i haven't even purchased active sky as yet as i want to see a clear benefit in using passive mode but its clear some people get a benefit from it so if it doesn't work for you that's also ok but no need to express your opinion like that.
  3. Is the iOS version compatible with the Fenix A320? Thank you!
  4. Awesome Chris, good to see you back in the game πŸ™‚ Look forward to buying from you again!
  5. Only one today, but i like it - on Aerosofts Oslo Gardermoon ( ENGM ) with a good working GSX profile.. If you want to see the shots in the best resolution then please click on the picture !! cheers πŸ˜‰
  6. Thank you very much, it worked perfectly. Regards, Dennis S
  7. πŸ‘ the only way to deal with those. 10 negative critics out of 1.000.000 MSFS users isn't that bad, is it?
  8. IMHO, AS had serious issues with Tru Sky early on. I rarely got accurate ceilings when METAR reported low cloud bases (BKN/OVC) not to mention the square cloud patterns. To be fair, the product improved after that.
  9. Thanks to all who replied ... my culprit was a recent add-on which I got from FlihgtSim.to called "Africa to Go 1.8".... eliminated this from my MS-Add-Ons linker and everything well... hope this helps...
  10. Yeah, I have no idea if the warning came from ASFS or the PMDG 737? I have been flying the PMDG 737 since it came out in all sorts of conditions and I never got a windshear warning from it. So I am guessing the warning actually came from ASFS. Damian might be able to explain this feature? Non the less it was kind of shocking and pretty cool. It seems when you are in windshear conditions controlling the airplane becomes challenging. Sort of like driving on an icy road. At first you have no reaction so you naturally tend to over react and finely when you get bite on the wings you over correct. Seems pretty realistic but I am not a real pilot so what do I know? Its possible the warning came from RealTurb but again I never heard it give a windshear warning from that program. I am guessing the actual warning came from ASFS! Another thing I noticed and this is so far out there I am not giving it any sort of official notice is my ground textures and detail were pretty high up there. Either Asobo has been messing with the ground detail or ASFS somehow eases resources so your ground textures seem improved. Its hard to say is occasionally it just is better for some unknown reason but the detail flying into LAS was pretty solid using ASFS. I think its safe to say such findings are unscientific but we can hope!
  11. It's very popular to hate me and Active Sky, and by extension, those who support me, our development team or the product. I've mentioned (harped on) this before but that's also generated criticism so I try to leave it alone. I've just learned to live with it and not let it discourage me any further.... the harder I work, the more we all do to satisfy the criticism or demands, the more HiFi accomplishes as a team, the more hate. I guess that means we're doing something right. I think it's also worth it (for me anyway) to consider that much of the apparent criticism is competitive in nature, real or perceived.
  12. I'm seeing something similar: sometimes when the plane first loads to the departure airport turning on battery and external power does nothing, and from there it's hosed near as I can tell. What's more is Self Loading Cargo believes its hot and engines are running when it's ice cold and nothing is running! When this happens I have to reboot and start all over and pray...and I'm using the Stable version currently.
  13. In Europe we are finding many such stations which cap at 5K ft, and then use NCD or NSC to specify no clouds above that threshold. We don't see this in the USA where it's typical to see clouds up to and beyond 20K ft (although some equipment does filter, some above 18K, some above 24K, etc). It's basically different everywhere you go. We're working on improving the interpretation and combination of GFS+Surface data to bring mid + upper level clouds to NSC/NCD METARs.
  14. Yet, [hidden] agenda means to secretly try to achieve or cause a particular scenario to occur. The only way I can understand reddit and BTL commenters calling HiFi 'cash-grabbers' or 'lazy' is if their ultimate aim is to drive out what they perceive to be low and mid-tier devs from the market, in favour of perceived higher-quality devs, freeware or Asobo? I don't think I saw anyone here suggest that HiFi were somehow misleading unsuspecting simmers to buy a product that is a 'cash-grab'. Perhaps ryanbatc is right when he said that younger simmers are used to $5 rather than $50 purchases for game mods and everyone is fed-up of increasing costs. Compared to buying loot boxes, livery mods, level-ups, 'premium content', and the ability to bypass in-game adverts in mobile games, etc. HiFi's ASFS is (to me) a far superior value offering.
  15. Hello everyone, I am pleased to announce that the Android version of SimFly Pad has finally received an update. This update introduces the Cockpit Controls feature, initially supporting the A320 panel. More panels will be added gradually in future updates. You can now head to the Google Play Store, search for SimFly Pad, and download it to experience the new features. For more information, you can watch the YouTube video linked below.
  16. It's lost on a phantom screen due to how Windows is interpreting screen positions. Here's how to get it back: 1) After clicking the Stby Com Freq, Hover over the P2A icon on the Taskbar. There should be multiple windows and one is the Radio Freq window 2) Hover over that window and a larger thumbnail of the window should show 3) Right-click that larger thumbnail 4) Select Move 5) Hold down the Right Arrow key on the keyboard until the program comes into view 6) If that doesn’t work, hold down the left arrow 7) Once the window is in view, use the mouse to move it to the desired location. 😎 Shut down Pilot2ATC so the location will be remembered. Dave
  17. That's me--if FS24 flops for weather I'll reconsider but for now I'm happy to wait and see what is developed. MS/A has the distinct advantage of knowing what their greatly enhanced multithreading can do for clouds and weather, and once again to port out everything above the ground in effect to a 3rd party doesn't bode well to me-it's far too big of a domain to do that with. And conveying to MS/A that another source will take care of this is the really bad part IMO. This might seem over the top but it is a reality: what if...something happens to HiFi. Stuff happens all the time and I want everything above ground to be contained within the sim.
  18. I own the feelthere KTUS scenery, and it's great. But I also purchased there LAX and LAS packages and all they done was modify the default MSFS scenery. That's why I was glad to get replacement packages when other developers made those sceneries. So why would you buy from Feelthere that just modify MS default airports or get from developer that just makes airports and is very good at it.
  19. Hi, I just moved to a new computer with Windows 11, re-installed XP12 and Pilot2ATC (v.2.7.0.1), but when I need to adjust the volume, the radio com pop-up window with the controls, does not show. First time I hit the standby frequency, I see a short "blink" in the usual position, where I would normally see the pop-up window, but it disappears again in less than a second, and then nothing more happens. The similar function for Nav frequencies works ok, where the window pops up when I hit the standby frequency.. Is this a known problem?
  20. Today
  21. I have no problem with anyone ranting and raving or venting about a product they dislike on YouTube. Gotta make a living right? Plus drama sells sadly. Calling out a small developer by NAME though crosses the line for me. That's a personal attack not a review at all.
  22. Did you get special permission to enter that airspace?
  23. I was thinking the same, and was just about to post it (About the personal thing he must have against the developer).
  24. I think FSHud is really the leader at the moment in terms of ATC. With these new AI handlers not able to control air traffic (isn't that the whole point?) on release. I don't think performance is great, but I am only on a gaming laptop. I manage fairly well at 45FPS with 15 at the gates and 15 active in terms of traffic. For now I ignore the vectoring and just follow my assigned STAR.
