    Maybe Orbx dies not have the new version yet. It is quite a nice update. The new cargo ramps are there now finally, the inside has been fully modeled quite nicely and the performance is finally acceptable.

    On balance, I think the 4070 super ti is a bargain and a good choice. They can be had for $750 which is $300 less than a few months ago. But in general they sell for $790 or so. I don't believe it buying the best. Settle for close to best. 4070 super ti is that.

    Well I'm confused. The FSimStudios website says CYHZ V2 is the latest. I bought FSimStudios CYHZ from Orbx and Orbx Central is saying my installed version is 1.3.0

    Just a short update. Flight1 indeed had a solution for me. Here is what they suggested. And it did work for me.

    Different preferences I guess. It's still only been a week since release, so too early to be 100% definitive about which one I prefer. I'll say this though: so far AS has impressed me; I think overall it generates a much more convincing and realistic cloudscape. So I guess it boils down to: do we want the most realistic cloudscape - or do we want fronts / global weather. I'm leaning towards the former at the moment. Btw just used historical weather for the 2nd time - to make a replay video of a flight I did more than 24hrs ago - that I didn't have time to finish at the time 🙂

    Do you know how to access your UserCfg.opt file? You could try pasting in there: - FullscreenBorderless 1 It's on about the fourth line down, and might say 'FullscreenBorderless 0' if it isn't working properly at the moment. Afterwards, save the file (save a backup first before you edit and save anything just in case!). Check the other settings round and about this one while you are in there, such as screen resolution etc., to see if they make sense as well. You shouldn't have to do this I know, but I am wondering if it is a windows issue as well, as I am having to push Alt-Enter to get some other titles into full screen just recently.

    FSimStudios released a V2 version of their excellent (in my opinion) CYHZ Halifax Stanfield Intl airport. If you already own V1, it's a free upgrade (I was able to just uninstall V1 and install V2 in my Orbx Library). I haven't had a chance to log into the sim and check it out directly but here's what the blurb says is new in V2: Performance significantly optimized. New MSFS Techniques have been extensively used all across to update the airport to the new standards, ensuring smooth performance and consistent FPS. Improved terminal model, several areas have been remodeled and retextured, with crisp new PBR Materials. Improved Interior Model, highly detailed and accurate to March 2024. Interiors have been modeled utilizing MSFS Techniques for minimal performance impact. Glass materials all across the airport have been edited to make use of the stock Glass reflective materials for enhanced realism. All new Ground Polygon, highly detailed, making use of all-new materials and textures. New Taxiway N (by Runway 14) and Apron 3 (New Cargo Apron) modeled. New Cargo Terminal modeled in high detail. Custom Taxi Signs all around the airport. Improved night lighting all around the airport. Static Aircraft (GA and Airliners) and Detailed Interiors can now be removed through Scenery Configuration (ORBX and Contrail only) Improved static aircraft models. Improved GSE and Clutter vehicle models. Clutter and vehicles utilizing multiple LODs for improved performance.     This level of proactive and engaging attitude is for me THE number one reason MSFS does so very well no doubts. Watching this kind of streams is music to my ear. Well deserved

    Doesn't help. I don't know what's going on. I was just trying to use regular windows settings in the corner of the window and windows shows I am in full screen mode but MSFS shows I am in window mode. Don't know how to get all that working properly again.

    Yes, highly recommended for any AI traffic tool. It massively improves AI separation and runway incursions and other immersion-breaking stuff. And - above all - it lets you manually force runways for landing and/or takeoff, effectively preventing any AI aircraft taking off right into your final approach because MSFS decided to change runways every 2 minutes in light wind situations.

    I thought I had read that the issue(s) with the above feature were fixed. I am in the Beta for SU15. However, when I go into General Options and select Full Screen and hit OK, my screen goes black for about 5-10 seconds and then the options screen appears again and the system has not switched to full screen mode. Thoughts???

    No offense taken. Not quite sure of your question though. You state you have the 700 for MSFS already and if you are asking if there is advantage to the other three (600,800,900) I would say no. They are all functionally identical with Features and Functions so if that is your question I would say no reason other than a desire to possess more 😎. -B

    What do I need a private preview for? MS told us all of the default planes will be payware quality and done by third party devs.

    I've noticed in the latest beta build that performance is great, but my GPU temps are spiking. Hopefully, whatever is causing my temps to spike will be fixed.
