This stream auto-updates

  1. Past hour
  2. I think he was talking about the core development, like AAUs and SUs.
  3. FSHud assigns you all the route gate-to-gate when you start the flight. But it can be changed during flight. For now you can see the landing runway in left section of panel - we will improve it to show the procedure as well.
  4. The 2024 trailer shows a BelugaXL, and that was the image shown on the live stream.
  5. World updates will also continue in 2020, but they won't be as high quality as 2024.
  6. Simbrief gives you a STAR and arrival runway, doesn't it? So use that for your calculations. Most of the time FSHud will keep the filed runway and STAR, unless weather or traffic dictate otherwise. Apart from that FSHud assigns the STAR and arrival runway well before the TOD, so normally you have enough time to feed your FMC.
  7. I think it was already a give because of the trailer, but the real news is iniBuilds is developing both.
  8. The one iniBuilds made for XP though is the Beluga ST: https://inibuilds.com/products/beluga?_pos=1&_fid=583d3555b&_ss=c Is iniBuilds changng to the Beluga XL for MSFS 2024? Anyways, Jorg just said "Beluga" on the stream.
  9. That's not what they've said. 2020 will get less Sim updates, but there will be other SUs in the next year (he thinks 2 SU per year). Eventually 2020 will be considered done, but not right now.
  10. ... but I do have another question. Using Pilot2ATC previously, when I filed a flight plan I would of course get the Deaprture SID & Arrival STAR and RWY if assigned. With FSHUD I get my SID procedure and RWY. My question is, I assume the Arrival will not be assigned until close to TOD, based on Arrival Weather conditions? At that point I assume I will load the Arrival procedure and RWY into the FMC and Navigraph Charts app. It's just that with Pilot2ATC I had all the arrival information (subject to change of course, which it has in the past) before starting the flight and I could create a fix in the FMC (Fenix A320) for a descent reminder. With FSHud I cannot do this as the arrival procedure\RWY is not known until around TOD, which normally is pretty close to my fix calculation anyway, ALT. loss x 4 (eg. 35 down to 9, 26 x4=104, say 110), I would start descent at 110nm from my fix waypoint. I would like to do this long before TOD.
  11. I think I can assume now that SU15, which is going to be delayed yet again, will basically complete core development on 2020, with it now transitioning to legacy. So, all focus is now on 2024.
  12. It also does not mean that every one of those people is an FTE dedicated to MSFS. Some may be allocated .5 FTE or .1 FTE for MSFS, depending on what they do, and then they have responsibilities for other titles.
  13. The reason they can't back port it to 2020 is because of how different the weather system is in 2024.
  14. It's also the BelugaXL, not the standard Beluga. The XL is based off the a330, the standard Beluga was based off the A300.
  15. I mean feature wise it's obviously great news and I'm looking forward too it, but it's definitely one of those "wait and see" features so I'm not getting too excited just yet.
  16. My bad. I just fixed the title and original comment. It's the A400M.
  17. Yea, Seb said the number at Asobo who specifically work on the FS sim is around 200. And Jorg jumped in to add that counting MS and partners and Asobo, the number now working on MSFS sim was about 700. I do believe it was Jorg who first pitched MSFS to Microsoft. And its success in generating revenue must have turned out to be stupendous, based on the resources now being allocated. Jorg's job is probably safe for years, LOL.
  18. 24h is pretty good if it's about having the right weather for the time of day of your flight whereever you fly. That said I wonder how they'll manage to do this with their global weather model with cloud formations and stuff. Also would be great to have something else than 24 hours of cumulus clouds 😄
  19. So I recently installed the plane and have an issue with not being able to enter an airport into the EFB. In general, I am familiar with how the EFB works as I have used in other planes such as the PMDG 747 and 777 in P3D, Basically I am able to enter some info into the performance page of the EFB manually such as the weather and weights but no matter what I do, I can't enter an airport into this page as I can click the search airport button, and it looks like it's doing something but nothing happens. Also, nothing happens when I click the copy the FMC data button even though I have a route entered and fill out all the data in the PERF page. Any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong? Thanks
  20. Well just to be clear Jorg said in this stream that 200 ish people are at Asobo, when he then quoted the 700 figure he also included partner companies like iniBuilds, Orbx, etc. So not all of those companies' employees are directly salaried by MS, but of course MS pays flat amounts to the companies I'd guess for specific contracts like the iniBuild aircraft that are default in the sim, etc. Needless to say, MS has deep pockets, and is clearly investing a lot in both its core teams as well as partnerships to build the MSFS franchise 🙂
  21. Well, there we have it. A lot of people enjoyed the iniBuilds Beluga on XP. At the end of the Twitch stream today, they announced the Beluga and A400M would come for MSFS 2024.
