  1. Past hour
  2. Nah. He said that he’s put purchases on hold for the next few months 😆
  3. Thanks for this. I do indeed have the TDS GTNXi. Furthermore, after checking the reliability monitor as you suggested, I see several entries saying "GTN Xi Series Trainer Stopped Working". I've had the TDS GTNXi for a long time but being presented with the option for safe startup every time the sim is opened only started happening on March 24th. Anyway, good to know TDS is on it.
  4. It appears the plane "blows up" if you open the storm window in flight. I thought we'd got past that idiocy in anything not made by Carenado 😞
  5. Where is the option for a clean or used panel and/or glass ?
  6. That sounds correct. I just tried it from parking to takeoff and it had no problems with either "Scandinavian Five Two Two" or "Scandinavian Five Twenty Two". Have you tried the latter? That's what the copilot was using when I used SayIt. Dave
  7. Mmm , i have other flight simmers that have the same frame gen with a 3000 series and doesn´t have this issue sir
  8. I wonder if Ryan will get this ............................... https://support.justflight.com/support/solutions/articles/17000140435-paintkit
  9. Which one do you consider as the default? Both are ActiveSky but the first is in AS passive mode, which means that the clouds are rendered as MSFS Live weather would. You think the first looks two dimensional? The second (ActiveSky) does not even show clouds at the aircraft altitude (probably due to metar alt capping, ASFS seems to be near-blind for clouds above about 5000 ft, at least in Southern Europe where the video was shot).
  10. Do you perhaps own the TDS GTNXi ? I don't get a safe mode message like you but often when I close the sim after a flight, the TDS GTN will silent-crash in the background, even if I was not in an aircraft that uses it. It is only noticeable by checking the Windows Reliability Monitor, otherwise I would not know it happened at all. It is a known bug and the TDS team is aware and looking into it - basically it does let go of the sim when the sim is closed, causes an "unclean" shutdown.
  11. From your video, ActiveSky’s representation looks wildly better to me. Default just looks so simple and almost two dimensional. ActiveSky looks exactly like the weather I saw out of my window on my real world flight yesterday. I’m grateful we have options available to us regardless!
  12. Lovely shot and reminder of the extremes at both ends of the nobility scale we as humans have achieved/endured at times.
  13. Ugh. I don’t even care about the Airbus at this point; would rather just have the other performance improvements and fixes.
  14. Excellent! I inadvertently entered several spins in the 146 on the last flight, when trying to do a custom start in mid-air. Could not recover, scary as word not allowed! Ive got everything set to realistic in terms of damage, so overstressing the airframe will end the flight… I think it was mentioned in the latest JF video that the ceiling altitude is 13,000ft? So… Innsbruck to Milan? 😁
  15. Great set of shots, P_7878, and glad you enjoyed the place! With so many scenery addons on my system it's often a while before I get to re-visit places, but the Scillies are one of those places that I do go back to (relatively) often. It helps that they are sort of in my backyard for real, and there's a lot of nice scenery between me and them as well. Haven't tried them in the DC-3 though. But that's got me thinking I might take the C-130 or the Chinook down there for a trip soon.
  16. Thanks for the video. I have to admit that I’ll miss this when running in preset mode. Still testing though, only a week since release. On every single flight I change between preset and passive mode to check the difference. I guess the difference is more pronounced when there some significant weather activity in the distance. So far I’ve been pretty happy with preset mode, I have to admit. I was meaning to do that but I forgot. I’ll do a comparison in my next video (if I remember!). I’ll make it a short one, exclusively for comparing REX/ASFS. And perhaps also default? Just need to get my head around how to do it the best way.
  17. From the horses mouth (Product Page) -B The Tomahawk has a real-world reputation for being very susceptible to entering spins. We have included this behaviour in this simulation of the Tomahawk, To enter a spin, reach a safe altitude and reduce the throttle to idle. Pitch the nose up to bleed off airspeed until the stall warning horn sounds. Just before the stall occurs, apply full left rudder to enter the spin. Once established in the spin, release pressure on all controls and the aircraft will remain in a spin until pilot input is applied. To exit a spin, apply a rudder input opposite to the direction of the spin and push the nose down. Reduce the throttle to idle and once the aicraft exits the spin, pull the nose up gently to return to straight and level flight. Trty not to exceed the aircraft’s VNE (never exceed speed) or G-limits when pulling out of the dive.
  18. Me too. I have it on 70 - not sure how I came to that number but the sim looks as good as ever so I will leave that alone. I'm using a custom DLSS Ultra Quality setting at 0,80 (set in NV Inspector). On my 4K, image out the window is better than TAA and the cockpit screens are nearly as sharp as TAA - to me the best compromise.
  19. I have seen them from Maleny to Melbourne.
  20. Yes, I type in "SAS" in the airline lookup code field and hit Enter, then the response is Scandinavian" with a tick mark in the window below., and "Scandinavian" is also shown in the Call Sign field. Then I type "522" in the Flight / Tail Number field. The same procedure as when I use Lufthansa (using the code DLH) I always just select the request and use the Sayit button (never speaking). Regards, Dennis S
  21. Hopefully ASFS will be able to show local weather in the future. So looking around the ac you then can see different weather ,like with the default weather engine.
  22. Let's see how long I can resist this one - my track record with JF isn't good. 😉
  23. @Noel When you get this strobing effect, try pressing Alt + Enter to take you out of full screen and then Alt + Enter again to take you back to full screen. If that stops the flickering/strobing effect, it might suggest the problem is a monitor refresh rate issue, (note monitor frequency, not v-sync) where it is not syncing with what the GPU with FG is pushing out to it. You could then try adjusting the Monitor refresh rate, that is assuming you have a monitor that can handle 120/144/160Hz etc refresh rates and see if a lower or the monitors native frequency improves the situation.
  24. I can only imagine what joy it must've been to control this thing in pitch... 😉
  25. Hello everyone, would anyone have interest in possibly doing a quick repaint for my VA using the PMDG 737-800? if interested please let me know. thank you in advance
